It’s patio season in Kelowna ☀️Here are some of Foodiegirlvee's favourite spots to check out!

Perch Sky Lounge
Kelowna’s largest rooftop patio with unreal sunset views. Their Okanagan Sunset cocktail and Black Box cocktail are both so good. Perfect spot for happy hour, after-work drinks, or date night vibes.

Upside Cider
A must for their cocktail flights! You can even mix it up with ciders or beer. Loved the Coconut Hibiscus. This spot is also both dog-friendly and kid-friendly, with great views from the rooftop patio or downstairs patio space.

Hotel Eldorado - Lakeside Dining
Lakeside Dining RoomOne of my favourite spots for lakeside dining. The Hoisin Duck Spring Rolls and the Boardwalk Smashburger + fries are both a great choice. Their seasonal cocktails are worth trying. Highly recommend the Toki Berry Smash or Hazelnut Carajillo. They also have a really good mocktail menu. Take some fun photos on the boardwalk by the water!

Red Bird Brewing Inc.
Such a fun spot for brewery hopping, lunch, pizza nights, or catching an event. Their pizzas are so good, and the whole atmosphere just feels like Summer. It’s dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and there’s lots of beer, cider, and non-alcoholic options on tap. Head here for after-work happy hour, a weekend catch-up, or night out with friends and family.

Tag your patio crew + make sure to SAVE this for your trip to Kelowna!

Your perfect Okanagan afternoon starts here. 🍷

Arrowleaf Cellars in Lake Country is one of those spots that just gets it right.

Start with a tasting. Learn the wines, the story, the vineyards. Their lineup includes tastings like the Chips & Wine Tasting and the Moon Series, a once-in-a-blue-moon tasting featuring wines crafted from grapes beyond the Okanagan.

Then head outside to the picnic area. Grab specialty cheeses, cured meats, crackers, and preserves from the wine shop and settle in with your favourites. The space is family and dog-friendly, and tables are first-come, first-served.

Weekend visitors, listen up. The cream puffs are made fresh in-house every Saturday and Sunday in rotating flavours like Mango Passionfruit, Blueberry Cheesecake, and Raspberry Chocolate. They sell out fast, so arrive early.

Arrowleaf also hosts events throughout the year, so there's always a reason to come back. Next up is their Dog Adoption Event on June 13 with Paws It Forward Dog Rescue.

June is National Indigenous History Month, a time to listen, to learn, and to honour the stories, achievements, and resilience of the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples.

Kelowna (kiʔláw̓naʔ) is located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded tm̓xʷúlaʔxʷ (land) of the syilx / Okanagan People, who have been stewards of this place since time immemorial. Their language, nsyilxcən, and ways of life are woven into the land, the water, and the stories that shape this region.

Throughout June, explore ways to connect more deeply:

🌿 Walk and learn during Kelowna Museum's “nakulamen (what we do): syilx Traditional Plant Use” tour on June 14 + 27

🪶 Experience Indigenous storytelling through movement at Matriarchs Uprising, a powerful mixed bill of contemporary Indigenous dance performances, workshops, and a public conversation presented by Inner Fish Theatre Society and O.Dela Arts at the Rotary Centre for the Arts on June 15 + 16

🎭 Attend Caravan Farm Theatre's presentation of Indians and Cowboys, a Making Treaty 7 Production created and performed by several Calgary artists, which runs from June 12 to 14.

🧡Visit Sncəwips Heritage Museum & Gift Store in West Kelowna to learn more about the culture and heritage of the syilx people. Join them for the Siyaten Festival on June 20.

☀️ Celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day, Summer Solstice, and Father's Day at the Turtle Island Festival & Métis Rendezvous at Waterfront Park, featuring cultural performances, activities, a mini powwow, and family-friendly fun from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In June and beyond, you can also taste Indigenous-inspired flavours at Kekuli Café Coffee, join the Indigenous Beading Circle at Kelowna Art Gallery, and discover Indigenous public art throughout the region.
