✈️ A little piece of local travel history. Nearly 100 years ago, Antonio Giachino was helping Northern Ontarians explore the world from right here in Cobalt. His famous slogan still rings true: "See This World Before the Next." 🌎 He even took the Prince of Wales on a tour of the Cobalt mines.

Was chatting with a fellow historian the other night who had recently stumbled upon a never-before seen image from Cobalt - and we were amazed that there are still photos out there that have not yet been discovered. Well, here's another new one.

This is the former Coniagas #4 shaft at the corner of Prospect and Silver Street - today more famously known as the The Lavender Fox Tearoom. In 1932, it was home to the Drummond Tea Room. Remarkable!

A work stoppage could begin August 2, 2026, at 12:01 a.m., potentially affecting upcoming WestJet flights.
