Don’t just admire the beauty, be part of it. 🎨✨
Welcome to County Creative, a vibrant, social, and seriously fun creative space in the heart of Picton.

Founded by lifelong County resident Nicole Troke and curated by artist Lori Meeboer, this one-of-a-kind hybrid space brings together a curated upstairs gallery featuring 25+ Canadian artists and a lively, hands-on pottery painting studio downstairs.

Even better? You can join a creative workshop (yes, you can even paint with goats! 🐐🎨) & grab a delicious drink from Virgin Mango smoothie bar to enjoy while crafting (10/10 recommend trying all the flavours, but PB&J has our whole heart) 💛

Save this for your next County road trip, then head to the link in bio for the full PEC Arts Trail map. 🗺️

Sandbanks at capacity? Don't stress! Your backup plan might just become your favourite County memory 🌊

Prince Edward County has a way of rewarding curiosity. If the main beaches fill up, here are 4 ways to keep your water day alive.

🏖️ Try another beach: Head to North Beach Provincial Park or Wellington Rotary Beach (just steps from downtown cafés & ice cream!).

🛶 Get on the water: Rent a kayak/paddleboard on Black River or West Lake, or book a sunset boat tour.

🏊 Skip the sand: Grab a day pass for the pool at Wander The Resort, The Lakeside Motel or The Royal Hotel.

🚗 Follow the scenic detour: Explore back roads, farm stands, and local art galleries. You'll find all kinds of magic ✨

💡 Pro Tip: Daily vehicle permits for Sandbanks & North Beach open 5 days in advance. If you're set on Sandbanks, aim for early morning or golden hour to beat the mid-day rush!

We’ve done the wine tours, the beer tours, the cider tours. Now we’re doing a County BBQ crawl🥩🔥

From slow-smoked brisket paired with local cider to patio ribs right on Main Street, Prince Edward County is officially low-and-slow season central. Save this post for your next road trip down to The County! 👇

Smoking J’s BBQ (at Cressy Mustard)
📍 Waupoos

Texas-style smoked meats meets iconic local condiments. Grab a brisket plate and slather it in Cressy Mustard right on site. Highly recommend grabbing a side of dilly fries to round things off right 🥒

Ralph’s Smokehouse Patio
📍 Picton Main Street (Behind the store)

The newest addition, our beloved Picton butcher shop expanded into a sunny back patio! Serving up pulled pork, ribs, and classic BBQ hits 11 AM – 8 PM every day of the week.

The Pampered Pig
📍 Consecon

Also a new addition this year, serving up serious roadside smokehouse energy. Think massive pulled pork sandwiches, tender ribs, and all the homemade sides you can handle.

Hendrik’s BBQ (at Crimson Cider Company)
📍 Picton on your way to Bloomfield

Smoked meats paired with crisp, cold local cider on a farm-style property? Sounds good to us! The ultimate afternoon outdoor pit stop.

Big Mike’s BBQ
📍 Bloomfield

Serving stacked BBQ platters, brisket, and ribs right steps from two fave breweries, Matron Fine Beer & All My Friends. Grab your plate at the truck and head over for a fresh craft beer.

Which spot are you hitting first? 🔥
