Today, on the anniversary of D-Day, it feels especially fitting to welcome our Battlefields Tour travellers home.

Over the past two weeks, we have walked in the footsteps of history across England, Normandy, the Somme, Belgium, and the Netherlands. We stood on the beaches where brave young men landed on June 6, 1944, visited cemeteries where thousands rest, explored battlefields where history was forever changed, and heard stories of courage, sacrifice, and resilience that will stay with us for a lifetime.

From Juno Beach and Vimy Ridge to Passchendaele, Groesbeek, and the Canadian Liberation Forest, each stop reminded us of the tremendous price paid for the freedoms we enjoy today.

As we remember those who served on D-Day and throughout the war, we are grateful to have had the opportunity to honour their legacy in person.

Thank you to our incredible guide Dudley for bringing history to life, and to our wonderful travellers who shared this meaningful journey together. Safe travels always and thank you for helping keep these stories alive.

🇫🇷 Saint-Tropez… every bit as beautiful as you imagine!

We had the opportunity to explore the stunning coastal town of Saint-Tropez, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. From the colourful waterfront lined with cafés and yachts to the charming streets filled with flowers and boutiques, everywhere you look feels picture perfect.

What surprised me most was how relaxed the atmosphere felt. Despite its reputation as a playground for the rich and famous, Saint-Tropez has a laid-back charm that makes it easy to slow down, wander, and simply enjoy the beauty around you.

A few fun facts:
✨ Saint-Tropez was originally a small fishing village before becoming a world-famous destination.
✨ The town’s rise to fame began in the 1950s thanks in part to actress Brigitte Bardot and the film And God Created Woman.
✨ The old harbour is still the heart of the town, where traditional fishing boats share the waterfront with some of the world’s most impressive yachts.

As incredible as Saint-Tropez was, it’s also bittersweet as tonight is our final night aboard the Scenic Eclipse II. What an unforgettable week it has been. From the beautiful ports and incredible excursions to the outstanding food, service, and experiences on board, this yacht has truly felt like a home away from home.

I already know I’m going to miss waking up each morning to a new view, enjoying life at sea, and being spoiled by the amazing crew. It’s been such a privilege to experience this beautiful yacht, and I’m feeling very grateful for every moment of it. ❤️

🇮🇹 Sardinia… what a surprise!

I had the chance to explore the beautiful town of Alghero and the harbour area, and I have to say, it completely stole my heart.

With its cobblestone streets, colourful buildings, seaside cafés, and stunning views of the Mediterranean, Alghero is one of those places that makes you want to slow down and simply enjoy the moment. Walking along the ancient sea walls and through the historic old town felt like stepping back in time.

A few fun facts about Alghero:
✨ It’s often called “Little Barcelona” because of its strong Catalan influence dating back to the 1300s.
✨ Parts of the Catalan language are still spoken here today.
✨ The beautiful old city walls overlooking the sea date back centuries and offer some of the best views in Sardinia.
✨ Sardinia is known for having one of the highest concentrations of centenarians in the world!

The harbour was buzzing with activity, from fishing boats to luxury yachts, all set against the crystal-clear blue waters that Sardinia is famous for.

Every corner seemed to offer another postcard-perfect view, and it was easy to see why so many people fall in love with this island.

Just another amazing day aboard the Scenic Eclipse II as we continue exploring some of the most beautiful corners of the Mediterranean. Feeling incredibly grateful for the opportunity to experience places like this and share them with all of you. ❤️

🇫🇷 A Beautiful Day Exploring Corsica 🇫🇷
We had the opportunity to discover some of the beautiful old villages of Corsica, and what a day it was!
Our journey took us through the ancient village of Sant’Antonino, one of the oldest hilltop villages on the island, along with the charming villages of Pigna, Corbara, and Aregno. Each village had its own unique character, with narrow winding streets, stone buildings, and stunning views around every corner.

Corsica is often called the "Mountain in the Sea," and it’s easy to see why. Nearly two-thirds of the island is covered by mountains, creating some truly spectacular scenery. The views from Sant’Antonino were absolutely breathtaking, stretching across the coastline and surrounding countryside.

One of the unexpected highlights of the day was getting to watch one of the helicopters take off from Scenic Eclipse II. 🚁 What a cool experience! Seeing it lift off from the yacht with the beautiful Corsican scenery all around us was definitely one of those "wow" moments that reminds you just how unique this ship really is.

After a wonderful day ashore, we returned to the beautiful Scenic Eclipse II for an equally memorable evening. Dinner was at Night Market, one of the yacht's most sought-after dining experiences. With only 8 seats available and just two dinner sittings each evening, it feels incredibly intimate and special.

We enjoyed a fabulous Middle Eastern-inspired menu, with each dish freshly prepared and beautifully presented by the talented chefs onboard. The flavours were incredible, and the entire experience was one we won't soon forget.

From charming mountain villages and spectacular views to helicopters and world-class dining, today was another day filled with unforgettable memories. ❤️

We arrived in the beautiful fishing village of Portofino, and wow… what a place! 🇮🇹

With its colourful buildings lining the harbour, luxury yachts bobbing in the water, and charming cafés tucked along the waterfront, it’s easy to see why Portofino has become one of Italy’s most famous coastal destinations.

We spent the day wandering through the narrow streets, enjoying the stunning views, and soaking up the atmosphere of this picturesque village. Around every corner seemed to be another postcard-worthy photo opportunity!

One of the highlights of the day was our walk up to Castello Brown. Perched high above the harbour, the castle offers incredible panoramic views of Portofino and the sparkling Mediterranean Sea below. Originally built as a defensive fortress in the 16th century, it was later purchased by English diplomat Sir Montague Yeats Brown in the late 1800s, which is how it got its name today.

A few fun facts about Portofino:
✨ Portofino has fewer than 400 permanent residents.
✨ The village’s name comes from the Latin “Portus Delphini,” meaning “Port of the Dolphins.”
✨ Despite its small size, Portofino is one of the most photographed villages in Italy.
✨ The harbour is part of a protected marine reserve, helping preserve the area’s crystal-clear waters and marine life.
✨ For decades, Portofino has been a favourite getaway for celebrities, artists, and royalty from around the world.

One of the things that struck me most was how such a small village can feel so elegant while still maintaining its authentic character. Whether you’re admiring the harbour, enjoying a cappuccino by the water, or taking in the views from Castello Brown, there’s something magical about this place.

I am also incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to experience destinations like this aboard the beautiful Scenic Eclipse II. Every day seems to bring another unforgettable view and another reminder of how amazing this world truly is.
