Join us at Waterlily Bay Resort on Lakelse Lake, September 18–20, for a weekend of fishing, friendly competition and a little good old-fashioned lake conservation.

The annual So Long Suckers! Northern Pikeminnow Derby is more than just an excuse to grab your tackle box and hit the water. Northern pikeminnow prey on young salmon fry and smolt, and helping manage their population is one way anglers can contribute to supporting Lakelse Lake's ecosystem.

Entry is just $10.

Whether you’re a seasoned angler who knows every corner of Lakelse Lake or you simply want an excuse to spend a September weekend on the water, come join the fun.

The guided Tseax Lava Cone Tour runs just twice more in 2026: Wednesday, August 26 and Wednesday, September 2, both 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.

This is a walk into the site of the most recent volcanic eruption in Canada. Around 250 years ago the Tseax cone sent lava down the Nass Valley, burying two villages and taking the lives of roughly 2,000 Nisg̱a'a people.

Nisg̱a'a Memorial Lava Bed Park is a memorial as much as it is a park, and it was the first park in BC to be jointly managed by a First Nation and BC Parks. The cone itself can only be reached on a guided tour, which makes these two dates the whole season.

Before you go: It's a 4-hour hike and solid footwear, water and food are a must 📍 Meet your guide and BC Parks staff at the Lava Cone Trail highway turn-off, 79 km north of Terrace. You're responsible for getting yourself from the turn-off to the trailhead and AWD/4WD strongly recommended

Cost: Adults (18+): $55 Youth (10–18): $30 Kids 10 & under: free Nisg̱a'a residents: free

🚨 TONIGHT’S RIVERBOAT DAYS FAMILY FUN EVENTS & DRONE SHOW HAVE BEEN CANCELLED 🚨

We are sharing an important update from the Terrace Riverboat Days Society regarding tonight’s celebrations.

Due to the wildfire situation impacting our neighbours to the south, North Star Drone Show is unable to travel to Terrace for tonight’s scheduled show.

As a result, the Riverboat Days Society has made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s Family Fun events, including the drone show.

We know many residents and visitors were looking forward to tonight’s festivities, and we share the disappointment. Most importantly, our thoughts are with the communities and everyone being impacted by the wildfires. ❤️
