Thanksgiving dinner hits different when half the table came from down the road.

Saturday mornings, 9 to 1 on Market Street beside George Little Park, the Skeena Valley Farmers Market is the place to round out the weekend feast.

Fresh veggies, breads and baking, preserves, and a few treasures from the craft tables for whoever's hosting. All of it home-grown, homemade or home-baked.

Only a few market Saturdays left this season, so make this one count.

Ever wonder who keeps Terrace's trails in shape? Volunteers.

The Terrace Off Road Cycling Association (TORCA North) builds, maintains and advocates for the mountain bike trails in and around Terrace, all through volunteer effort and partnerships. There's no guaranteed funding for trail infrastructure here. Memberships and donations are what keep the network going.

And you don't have to be a mountain biker to join. TORCA welcomes all non-motorized trail users, hikers and runners included.

The Terrace Visitor Centre will be closed Wednesday, September 30 for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

We encourage everyone to take this day to listen, learn and reflect, and to honour Survivors, their families and communities.

We are grateful to live, work and explore on the traditional territories of the Kitselas and Kitsumkalum First Nations.

One of the most powerful ways to learn from this place is through its art. Clan poles standing among the hemlock and spruce at Kitselas Canyon National Historic Site. Woven cedar hats at Hobiyee. Formline murals in town. The lava beds of the Nass Valley, home of the Nisga'a Nation. These works carry stories that date back to time immemorial.
