Why we love JOIA Aruba by Iberostar!

During my recent site inspection of JOIA Aruba by Iberostar, I immediately fell in love with the resort’s effortlessly elevated atmosphere. From the refreshing cocktail and cold towel welcome to the elegant open-air lobby featuring rattan and linen seating, seashell-inspired chandeliers, and chic Caribbean-Aruban design details, every space feels thoughtfully curated for a modern luxury escape. 🌴

Located just 25 minutes from Aruba Airport and across from stunning Eagle Beach, this boutique-style luxury resort offers 240 modern rooms and suites, including beautiful swim-out options. Guests enjoy a dedicated beach area with complimentary loungers and umbrellas, along with the flexibility of room-only, breakfast-inclusive, or all-inclusive stay options.

Highlights include 3 pools with a gorgeous infinity pool, JOIA Spa with hydrotherapy circuits and sauna, Technogym fitness facilities, daily wellness classes, water refill stations, and complimentary sunscreen throughout the property.

Dining experiences include Marea, Bucatini, and GAIA House of Grill, while ZIMA Rooftop Bar is the perfect spot for sunset cocktails and ocean views.

Although JOIA welcomes guests of all ages and offers a complimentary Kids Club onsite, during my visit the atmosphere felt relaxed, sophisticated, and more adult-oriented, perfect for couples, girls’ getaways, friend groups, and families with older children.

Upon my recent visit to Aruba 🇦🇼, it’s easy to see why so many people fall in love with this little slice of paradise. 🌴 With sunshine year-round and those impossibly turquoise waters 🌊, it truly lives up to its name—“One Happy Island.”

We spent four nights on Palm Beach, waking up to soft white sand, calm crystal-clear water, and that perfect ocean breeze that makes the 29°C+ days feel just right ☀️ but trust me… if you think you’ve applied enough sunscreen—apply again!

What makes Aruba unique is its landscape with cactus-lined roads, rugged coastline, and that beautiful contrast of desert meeting the ocean. You’ll spot lizards and iguanas everywhere… so maybe skip the bright red toenail polish, an iguana might mistake it for a cherry 🍒

Skip the all-inclusive as Aruba’s food scene is too good not to explore, from Dutch pancakes in the morning to fresh seafood dinners by the water. And no need for bottled water. Tap water here is safe, high quality, and surprisingly delicious 💧

More than anything, it’s the vibe—easy, welcoming, and effortlessly relaxed.

As of Feb. 25, visitors without an ETA will be denied boarding. While authorization is usually granted within minutes, travellers are urged to apply for an ETA at least three working days before departing.

ETAs costs £16, or roughly C$30, and can be applied for and purchased online or through an Apple or Android app.
