Yesterday we experienced a cow and a calf feeding along the rocks in a phenomenon so rare I don't even know what to call it so I have named it Fill Feeding!!! This Humpback mother is opening her gaping maw to fill with fish, no lunging, no chasing. Food must be plentiful!! She is steadying herself with her pectoral fins.... or is the sweeping action pushing more fish in. Fascinating action I have never seen before in 17 years of doing this. Nature truly is AMAZING!!!!

Some fascinating whale behaviour with the Humpbacks feeding on the rocks WITH THEIR MOUTHS OPEN!!! LETTING THEIR MOUTHS FILL WITH Fish (krill maybe ??). Lots of action icebergs new and old with them changing shapes every day. Great tours lots of whales birds and seals!!!Identifying new whales daily with the Hello Humpback site.!! Meeting lots of new whale 🧡 friends.
