The 2026 season is underway — and while many voyages are already filling, a handful of remarkable opportunities still remain.

Alaska (Aug 8–18)
Haida Gwaii (Jul 8–16)
Great Bear Rainforest (Oct 10–15)
Gulf Islands (Oct 27–31)

Four very different ways to experience the coast — depending on what calls to you.

These journeys take place aboard Maple Leaf, travelling with a small group and a flexible itinerary shaped by wildlife, weather, and what unfolds around you.

It’s a way of travelling that’s less about following a schedule — and more about being present to the place itself.

Right now, there’s also a rare opportunity to step aboard.

Through the Wilderness Tourism Association of BC’s online auction, we’ve contributed a $7,000 credit toward any 2026 Maple Leaf Adventures voyage — valid across our entire fleet.

For some trips, it’s a meaningful offset.
For others, it can take you most of the way — or cover the experience entirely.

And by bidding, you’re also supporting the work that helps protect access to these places — and the ecosystems they depend on.

Auction closes April 30.
There are still no bids — it’s completely open.

Three ships. One coast. Forty years of stories.

From Victoria to Vancouver, through the Gulf Islands.

Three days on the water —
quiet anchorages, shared moments,
and one evening with all three ships together.

By morning, paths diverged.
Swell onward,
while Maple Leaf and Cascadia continued on together.

For Maple Leaf, a meaningful homecoming.

The beginning of our 40th season on this coast.

Into Vancouver.

Two ships, one celebration — marking 40 years on this coast.

Crew, guests, and a shared sense of what this has always been about.

Let the celebrations begin.

She’s just raised a new mainsail.

And with it, 40 years of history carries forward.

Maple Leaf has never stood still — she’s a vessel shaped by time, and still very much alive in it.

In 1986, she was here in Vancouver — at Heritage Harbour — being transformed from a fishing vessel into the expedition ship she is today, unveiled during Expo.

This is where that story began.

On April 18, she returns — not as a piece of the past, but as a living part of the coast, coming home for a moment.

Join us at Heritage Harbour for an evening of dockside connection and a special museum talk with Kevin Smith and Maureen Gordon.

Harbour activations: Free, all ages welcome
Evening talk: Pay-what-you-can (ticket required)

A meaningful sendoff.

Today marks the start of our 40th season — with our first voyage sailing from Victoria through the Gulf Islands to Vancouver.

Crew, guests, and community gathered at the dock, ready to set sail.

This is where it begins.

Cadboro Bay. Still water.

A week of training — new faces, familiar ones,
finding our rhythm again before the season begins.

Back on the water,
ready to set sail.

40 years.
We begin April 14.

Enter a world steeped in culture, wildlife and mystery: Haida Gwaii.

Our classic schooner takes you deeper into this “Northern Galapagos”, exploring the living Haida culture and rich coastal ecosystems that define Gwaii Haanas.

Sailings depart this year and next—and on July 1-9, 2027, “500 Days in the Wild” filmmaker Dianne Whelan joins as Artist-in-Residence. Travelling by sea through remote islands, ancient forests, and kelp-lined shores, the voyage offers a rare opportunity to experience the coast’s most remarkable landscapes in the company of a storyteller whose journey across the country has inspired audiences everywhere.
