Foroglio 🇨🇭
Foroglio is a small stone village in Val Bavona, one of the most distinctive valleys in Ticino. Known for its traditional granite houses and the waterfall that drops directly behind the village, it feels very different from most destinations in Switzerland.
The houses, built from local stone, reflect centuries of mountain life in a valley where the landscape has largely remained unchanged. Just a short walk away, the Foroglio Waterfall plunges around 100 meters into the valley below, becoming one of the most photographed natural landmarks in Ticino.
Located in the municipality of Cevio, Foroglio is a popular stop when exploring Val Bavona and nearby Valle Maggia.
