Had a super group out on Rigi last week 🚞🧀🥪

Cogwheel train up, a walk along the top through some less known trails, a stop at a little farm for fresh cheese, picnic with a view, gondola down, boat back to Lucerne to finish.

Nothing complicated about the day. That's rather the point.

Lots of discovery, questions and learning about the farms, food, nature and Swiss life along the way.

Sophie left this after. Made my week 🙏

Last week we hosted Francis, visiting from the UK: a mix of hiking, biking, a mountain hut, and some of the lesser-known trails around Central Switzerland. No screens, no rush, just good views and conversation.

This is exactly what we build into every offsite we run for teams too: less programme, more space to actually connect.

📅 Now booking September & October: the best (temperature and quietest) months for a team day out here.

This is from a group I led on Stoos last Thursday.

Juan had some friends over from the US and he asked me show them the way. We hiked Klingenstock to Fronalpstock, had lunch, and then walked half way back down to grab the mid way gondola. Enroute back we took a dip in a quiet part of Zugersee to cool off!

We've been having some super hot weather recently with temperature of 34 degrees in the valleys, so this route gave a little lofty air and perfect views of the alps and many lakes down below. Plenty of good conversation and laughter.

If you have people visiting Switzerland (whether friends or a company team) and want to show them what's in the area, then send me a message to see what's possible.

Four days. One team from Yorkshire. Central Switzerland. 🇨🇭

Day 1: settling in around Zug's Old Town and lakefront
Day 2: summiting Mount Rigi, the "Queen of the Mountains" 🏔️ + a BBQ lunch on the way down
Day 3: chocolate-making, then exploring Lucerne's Chapel Bridge and lakeside promenades
Day 4: e-biking through the forests of Zugerberg, all the way back down into the valley 🚴

The best bits weren't on the schedule. They happened on the walk between stops, over lunch, on the train up the mountain.

There's something about getting a team up a mountain and away from the everyday that just works.

This BBQ on Rigi was one moment from a full week in the Swiss Alps, by the end of it, colleagues who barely knew each other were talking like old friends.

A full week does what a single away-day simply can't.

Four days.
One team.
Mountains, lakes, bikes, chocolate and plenty of good conversations.
Last week reminded me why we started Alpine Explorers.
Sometimes the best experiences aren't about ticking off attractions.
They're about creating space for people to connect, explore and enjoy being outdoors together.
Thank you Happy Futures for travelling over from the UK for a fantastic few days in Switzerland 🇨🇭🌿

Sunday on Rigi ✨❄️

Blue skies, quiet trails, and just enough snow at the top to make it feel a little magical. We had a couple out with us this weekend, and honestly, the mountain did all the work.

This is what Switzerland looks like when you go up and just... walk.

The best days in the mountains aren't the most planned ones. 🏔️

Whether you're here with your team, your crew, or just looking for something more than a tourist trail, the Alps have a way of bringing people together.

No awkward schedules. No pressure. Just great scenery, fresh air, and the kind of conversations (or laughs) that only happen when you actually step away from the everyday.

We've written about what makes a day out in the Swiss Alps truly memorable, for teams and groups of all kinds. Link in comments
