I love this photo of our recent Cuba Bike Tour. I'm planning to do 2 rides next winter in February and March, 2027. Current plans include cycling Central Cuba for 15 days, and Western Cuba for 10 days. Maybe a 6-day mini-tour in mid-March to show off the Havana area.

I strongly recommend bringing a water filter to Cuba. You get 99.999% removal of bacteria, and reduce plastic waste from buying bottled water. These filters can filter river water, so filtering tap water is easy.

I prefer these simple cigar sized filters. They screw into any standard bottle. You can squeeze the bottle to speed up filtration, a litre takes about 30 seconds. Better than filters built into bottles as you can filter water into any container. Total filtration lifespan about 4000 litres.

Cost is between $10-30 depending on brand. I like these Membrane Solutions ones as they have the same specifications as other brands, are less expensive, and well made.

I had a wonderful ride today covering 70km/45miles. I visited Finca Vista Hermosa (farm with a beautiful view). Checknout the adorable animal photos. This privately-owned agro-tourism farm is quite self-sufficient, growing sugar cane and other crops to feed the wide variety of animals. I didn't recognize the "cattle breed" let me know if you know.

I continued to Guanabo, Alamar and Cojimar, before taking the ciclobus through the tunnel back to Havana.

Maybe the 20th different brand of beer I've had in Cuba. This one, like many, from Spain. Cuban Buccanero is the best but pricy at 370 pesos ($1 CDN/75 cents USD) 😆
