Larnaka Tourism Board participated in the 1st Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) of SafeHost in Cyprus on May 18-19.
Codeca - Center for Social Cohesion, Development and Care, coordinated the kickoff meeting for the SafeHost project: 'Enhancing Early GBV Detection in the Hospitality Sector', funded by the European Union’s CERV Programme.
Partners from Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Spain, and Denmark came together for two productive days, discussing all Work Packages and setting clear guidelines for upcoming tasks and deliverables.
SafeHost promotes human dignity, equality, and the safety of the most vulnerable by:
1️⃣ Mapping practices and barriers across hospitality and NGO sectors
2️⃣ Co-developing a modular training programme for frontline hospitality staff
3️⃣ Formalising partnerships and referral protocols with over 60 hotels
4️⃣ Launching a multilingual mobile app with an AI chatbot and referral dashboard
5️⃣ Implementing a multilingual awareness campaign targeting guests and the public
