The third Transnational Project Meeting of the SenDiTour project (of the EU’s Erasmus+ programme) took place in Larnaka on May 24-26.

On day two, we were honoured to welcome Christos Misos - the first totally blind competitive archer from Cyprus; Cypriot World Champion para-archer and World No. 1 in the VI1 category, along with Mrs Yiota Armeni, President of the Local Welfare Association for the Blind (Livadia, Voroklini, Pyla, Kelia, Troulloi).

A very fruitful discussion was held regarding the obstacles that blind persons face for travel and tourism, with many valuable insights.

The project progress part of the meeting extensively covered the Sign Language Dictionary, workshops for Deaf and blind persons, the communication package, and the plans for the second year of the project.

The SenDiTour project (Tourism for Sensory Disabilities) has the aim of the ‘Participation in tourism as an effective form of increasing the educational and social activity of people with a sensory disability’. Read more about the project here: https://larnakaregion.com/senditour
