Prague is not just the Castle.

There is another side of the city.
Less monumental, less central to historical events, but no less important.

There is a more human, intimate, and quiet side that not every visitor has the chance to see.

Suburbia is almost ready.

In the coming weeks, we will officially launch our first experience.

A different way of exploring Prague.
Not just through its landmarks, but through its neighbourhoods, its contrasts, and its stories.

Suburbia is not about the “must-see” places.
It’s about understanding the city beyond what is usually shown.

Some places will be beautiful.
Some will be unexpected.
Some may even feel uncomfortable.

But all of them matter.

Because to understand a city, you have to see more than its surface.

Prague is not just the Charles Bridge.

There's a whole city beyond the iconic spots.
Shaped by power, ideology and the legacy of a darker era.

Are you ready for a different side of Prague?

Cities were created to be lived in, not consumed.

When urban space is designed almost exclusively around visitors, cities slowly stop being cities and start becoming theme parks. And, like theme parks, crowds concentrate around the main attractions, while everything outside those areas is perceived as secondary, or not worth attention at all.

In Prague, most visitors follow the same paths through the historic centre:
Old Town Square and the Astronomical Clock, the Castle, Malá Strana.
These places are undoubtedly remarkable.
But Prague is so much more.

Many places of great historical, architectural and cultural value remain almost empty.
Not because they are less meaningful, but because they don’t fit the usual Prague postcard.

Rediscovering overlooked areas can help ease the pressure on overcrowded spaces, while offering a deeper and more complex understanding of the city.
This is not about avoiding the centre.
It is about questioning why everything else remains invisible.
Because a city is not just what is shown.
It is also what is excluded, overlooked, and left outside the frame.

Not everything worth seeing is on a map.

Urbi Tour is built around this idea.

Something different is taking shape.

New ways of seeing the city.
New ways of experiencing it.
Not as a tourist. Not as a spectator.

If you think you're ready to visit Prague,
you might want to rethink your itinerary.

WELCOME TO URBI TOUR.
We create tours and experiences aimed at discovering the city of Prague beyond the crowds and overtourism.

Prague is far more than its historic centre.
Beyond the overexposed postcard routes, there are neighbourhoods full of historical and artistic beauty, powerful stories of resistance, everyday life, local identities and areas of immense cultural value, richer, more layered and more human than what mass tourism has turned the centre into.

Most visitors never reach these places.
Not because they are not worth seeing, but because they simply don’t know they exist.
There is a whole Prague made of traditions, local culture, social history and living communities that rarely enters the tourist narrative.

Urbi Tour was born from this simple idea:
to explore the parts of Prague that are still lived in, complex, human, imperfect and real.
This project is about discovering what you don’t know about Prague.
It’s about slowing down, stepping outside the historic centre and encountering a city made of people, local cultures, forgotten layers of history and contemporary realities. Places that are still human and meaningful beyond a hyper-touristic and, too often, artificial historic centre.

Behind Urbi Tour there’s just me, Paolo, a licensed guide and cultural project designer based in Prague.
I created this project because I believe that how we visit a city matters: where we walk, who we support, what kind of stories we choose to listen to.
On this page I’ll share:
– reflections on tourism and cities
– behind-the-scenes of new itineraries
– stories from Prague’s less-visited districts
– and, soon, the tours and experiences I’m currently designing.

If you’re curious about a different Prague that doesn’t fit neatly into a checklist, you’re in the right place.
Walk slower. Look deeper. Discover a different Prague.
