Mugger croc in Yala

There are 2 species of crocodiles in Sri Lanka: the saltwater croc and the sweetwater preferring mugger crocodile. The former to be found in lagoons or brackish water areas as mouths of rivers, the latter inland in lakes. Males of both species can reach an enormous weight of up to 400kg and a length of some 4 metres.
