A tiny chocolate with a romantic story 🍫❤️
Trying the famous “Heidelberger Studentenkuß” ("student kiss") while wandering through the charming streets of Heidelberg.
Back in the 19th century, students supposedly used this sweet treat to secretly flirt with young women in town — all while strict governesses kept watch 👀 Today, it’s one of Heidelberg’s most iconic souvenirs.

Dicen que en el siglo XIX, los estudiantes regalaban este chocolate para coquetear discretamente con las jóvenes de la ciudad, mientras las estrictas institutrices vigilaban cada movimiento 👀

Heidelberg with a touch of history 📖
This playful figure of Martin Luther reminds us that he once visited Heidelberg in 1518, where he defended his ideas during the famous Heidelberg Disputation—an important moment of the Reformation.

Fun fact: Luther’s ideas spread so quickly thanks to the printing press, making him one of the first “viral” thinkers in history!

At the Pharmacy Museum inside Heidelberg Castle, you can step into a real old-world apothecary full of mysterious jars, herbal remedies, strange instruments… and even a dried pufferfish once used in medicine! 🐡

A fun way to travel back in time while exploring the castle.

This winter has been properly cold and snowy — and Heidelberg looks like it’s straight out of a snow globe. Frosty rooftops, misty hills, and the Castle towering above it all.

Reading stories about Palatine and Heidelberg from begining of its times with such an amazing view. Each time I sit at Karlsplatz and enjoy my coffee, i loose my heart in Heidelberg. It is a perfect place where you can fall in love. And I mean a LOVE of any kind❤️🥰😍❤️

Old bridge and its story is quite fascinating. 7 wooden bridges stood on its place before. After the highest flood in 1784, on February 27., high water destroyed the last wooden bridge. This was a result of very hursh winter 1783 due to volcano eruption in Island called Loki.

What has Island to do exactly with high water in Heidelberg, you will find out on one of our tours. See you tomorrow or on Sunday at 2:30pm at Monkey statue next to Old bridge.😉🦧

I have lost my heart in Heidelberg. Have you?
During the romantic period, beginning of 19. century, many philosophers, writers, big thinkers or painters visited Heidelberg and its famous ruin. Since then tourism, as we know it nowdays, started.

Heidelberg and its hidden gems.

Hotel Ritter is last 350 years a hotel. It was build at the end of 16. century and it is only private home that survived 9-years-war at the end of 17. century in the Heidelberg old town. French have left just ashes behind.
