🇦🇹✨ A day trip from Munich to Hallstatt feels like stepping into a fairytale.

Surrounded by dramatic Alpine peaks and crystal-clear lake water, Hallstatt is easily one of the most beautiful villages in Europe — and yes, it really looks like the postcards 😍

⏰ One of Munich’s most famous attractions comes to life every day at Marienplatz — the legendary Glockenspiel! 🔔🇩🇪

Located on the tower of Munich’s New Town Hall, the Glockenspiel has been entertaining visitors since 1908 with 43 bells and 32 life-sized figures.

The upper part reenacts the wedding of Duke Wilhelm V, while the lower level shows the traditional Schäffler dance — said to have brought joy back to Munich after the plague.

🎶 Playing times:
• Daily at 11 AM
• Also at 12 PM and 5 PM during summer months

And don’t forget to look up at the very end… a golden bird chirps three times to finish the show 🐦✨

😳 Medieval justice was definitely not joking around…

This fascinating “ducking cage” can be seen at the famous Crime Museum in Rothenburg ob der Tauber — one of the most unique museums in Germany and a possible highlight of my private day trip from Munich.

Back in medieval times, bakers who sold bread that was too small or too light could end up publicly punished in cages like this 🍞💦

The Crime Museum is full of bizarre and unbelievable stories about medieval law, punishment, and everyday life — from torture devices to strange local rules that sound almost unreal today.

And that’s what makes Rothenburg so special: it’s not only beautiful, it’s full of history and hidden stories around every corner.

❄️🏰 Bavaria always has surprises… even in mid-May 😂

Today at Neuschwanstein Castle we got a little reminder that the Alps make their own weather rules 😄 A tiny bit of snowfall in MAY — not something you see every day!

One moment spring, the next moment winter wonderland. And honestly? It made the fairytale castle look even more magical 🌨️👑

That’s one of the things I love most about Bavaria and the Alps — every trip is different, every season has its own charm, and sometimes nature gives you an unexpected bonus 😉

Who would mind seeing Neuschwanstein with fresh snow in May? 😍

⛰️ The Eagle’s Nest is open again for the new season! 🇩🇪

After the long winter break, the famous Eagle's Nest has officially reopened its doors just a few days ago — and the views are as spectacular as ever! 😍

Perched high above the Bavarian Alps at 1,834 meters (6,017 ft), the Eagle’s Nest offers one of the most breathtaking panoramas in all of Germany. On clear days, you can see deep into Austria and across the stunning Berchtesgaden National Park.

But this place is more than just incredible scenery. It’s also one of Bavaria’s most historic locations, connected to the dramatic story of WWII and the Obersalzberg area.

And yes… the journey up the mountain with the original brass elevator is already an experience on its own 😉
