The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) is one of the largest archaeological museums in the world dedicated to a single civilization. It is located on the Giza Plateau, approximately two kilometers from the Great Pyramids of Giza.
The museum was designed to showcase the greatness of ancient Egyptian civilization, covering thousands of years of history, from the earliest periods of ancient Egypt to the Greco-Roman era.

Akhenaten was one of the most unusual and controversial kings in ancient Egyptian history. He ruled during the 18th Dynasty of the New Kingdom, approximately 1353–1336 BC, although the exact dates are debated.
He was originally known as Amenhotep IV, meaning Amun Is Satisfied. He was the son of King Amenhotep III and Queen Tiye.
Akhenaten became famous for introducing a religious revolution that changed the traditional beliefs of ancient Egypt. He promoted the worship of Aten, the sun disk, above the other Egyptian gods.
