Grand Egyptian Museum

Presentation of the GEM (GRAND EGYPTIAN MUSEAUM)

The Gem is expected to open soon, news are coming that within few weeks the official date of opening will be announced

Grand Egyptian Museum
The museum, which is located 2 kilometers (about 1.24 miles) from the Pyramids of Giza, will hold over 100,000 treasures from Egypt’s history. It will be the largest museum in Egypt, the largest museum dedicated to pharaohs; it is “the largest museum in the world Dedicated to one civilization.
It will include 5,000 artifacts from King Tut’s tomb displayed for the first time ever, a 30-Foot tall statue of Ramesses II (commonly known as Ramesses the Great),
And the Khufu Ship that was buried next to the Great Pyramid in 2500 B.C.
The GEM will have the following halls
The Entrance HALL which includes only 4 major Pieces
The Hall of the Great DARAG called GRAND HALL
Which includes 60 heavy pieces or statues which are collected from the Egyptian Museum from Luxor City, from the stores and even from the collection abroad Egypt.
The grand staircase divided into 04 levels
Level 1The ROYAL IMAGE which will have the theme for statues from different eras
Level 2 DIVINE houses which will contains huge doors, huge columns, naosses , sphinx and pyramidyum
Level 3 Gods and Kings Hall which represents the relationship between the kings and gods
Level 4 Journey to eternity which includes lot of coffins diffeernet shapes
The grand staircase end with a huge panoramic with a glass view the great pyramids of Giza.
There will be 2 Halls for the collections of King Tut Ank Amun 7251 m
3 other HALLS dedicated to all the history of Egypt from prehistoric Egypt to Roman Egypt with 12 Galleries.
There will be also a DIGITAL MOVIE theathre showing a movie ATON God/the Fauna and Flora of Egypt /the discovery of TUT ANK AMUN tombs and the great Pyramids.
There will be also the area of the KHUFU boats ( 2boats )

CAIRO’S HISTORIC SHEPHEARD HOTEL SET TO REOPEN AFTER RENOVATIONS IN 2024.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group announced a management agreement to rebrand the historic Shepheard Hotel in Cairo, Egypt. This will be the group’s first hotel in Egypt and further expands the brand’s portfolio in the region.
Shepheard’s Hotel was the leading hotel in Cairo and one of the most celebrated hotels in the world from the middle of the 19th century until its destruction in 1952 during the Cairo Fire. Five years after the original hotel was destroyed, a new one was built nearby and was named the Shepheard Hotel. A comprehensive renovation of the property is already underway, and Paris-based interior designer Sybille de Margerie is tasked with preserving the building’s heritage design while enhancing the facilities and services. Upon completion, currently anticipated for 2024, the hotel will reopen as Mandarin Oriental Shepheard Cairo.
Situated on the eastern shore of the Nile River, in the heart of Downtown Cairo, the property will feature 188 rooms and 88 suites, many with balconies, providing excellent views over the city, the Nile, and Al-Gezira island. The hotel is ideally located to explore the city’s renowned attractions such as the historical Egyptian Museum, Khan el-Khalili Souq, and Al-Azhar Mosque, and provides easy access to the river, key commercial buildings, and vibrant shops, restaurants, and cafés.
Mandarin Oriental Shepheard Cairo will feature five restaurants and bars, including a rooftop restaurant for al-fresco dining, as well as an exclusive club lounge. The hotel will also offer expansive function spaces, including a rooftop ballroom, making this the ideal destination for conferences and social gatherings of all sizes.
An all-encompassing Spa at Mandarin Oriental Shepheard Cairo will provide eight treatment suites and offer tailored experiences and signature treatments for which the group is renowned. Further wellness facilities include an indoor pool, a rooftop swimming pool, a beauty salon, a fitness center, and a kid’s club.

Rixos Hotels Acquire Development Rights of El Montazah Palace.
The Rixos Hotels Chain has acquired the right to develop and manage the historic Montazah Palace in Alexandria under a usufruct system. The contracts stipulate that the Rixos Group will handle the ex*****on, development, and enhancement of the palace individually, as well as manage and operate it after the official opening.

According to the contracts, the group will undertake the construction of a hotel inside the palace, following an architectural style that fits the palace's location and meets customer expectations. The plan includes establishing a hotel within the palace under the Rixos brand.

Preparation for the works to be carried out within the palace is expected to be completed soon, with the palace anticipated to be handed over in the coming period to begin development and enhancement works.
