News visit system for the Giza plateau

Starting April 8th
A new visit system for the Giza plateau area, the Marriott Mena House entrance will be closed permanently, and visitors to the pyramids will enter through the Fayum Road.

Visitors will pass through the newly created visitor centre, and private cars and tour buses will no longer be allowed in the area. Visitors to the pyramids will leave their bus and take the hop-on, hop-off" electric buses to transport visitors from the visitor centre to seven stations.

These are the lines for the Pyramid shuttle bus.
1- Yellow: Exercise area.
2- Green: Lounge 9.
3- Red: Main visitor line (Panorama - Menkaure - Khafre - Sphinx).
4- Black: Khufu Center.
5- Blue: The line connecting the second pyramid to the first pyramid.
You can exit through the Sphinx Gate on foot and meet the bus outside.

Lot Polish airlines will fly daily from Warsaw to Cairo in the winter season 2023/24.

The Polish airline Lot Polish airlines has announced that it will start flying daily from Warsaw to the Egyptian capital Cairo for the winter season 2023/24 with the Boeing 737-800 Max Aircraft.
The flights will start from 29 of October 2023 till 30 of March 2024

Air Cairo announced new flights from Spain to Luxor and from Madrid to Sharm el Sheikh

The Egyptian low-cost airline Air Cairo a subsidiary of EgyptAir has announced scheduled flights from Valencia, Bilbao and Malaga to Luxor for the winter season 2023/2024 and charter flights from Madrid to Sharm el Sheikh
Air Cairo will begin, as of October 29, 2023, operating a weekly flight between Madrid and Sharm el Sheikh

The advantage that the new trip to Sharm El-Sheikh adds to the Egyptian tourism product, which enables the Spanish tourist to combine antiquities tourism with beach tourism in Egypt, taking advantage of Aircairo’s international network from Spain to Luxor. Aswan and Sharm El-Sheikh, and also connecting domestic flights between Luxor and Hurghada, Sharm El-Sheikh and Cairo.

This flight increases Aircairo's operation between Egyptian tourist attractions and five Spanish cities, Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga, Valencia and Bilbao, to 10 flights per week.

Flydubai has confirmed the launch of flights to Egypt’s capital Cairo

The daily service from Dubai International Airport to Cairo’s Sphinx International Airport starts from Oct. 28. Operations will be daily, increasing the LCC’s Egyptian network to 17 flights per week.
Sphinx International Airport is located on the road between Cairo and Alexandria, around 28 mi. from the pyramids of Giza.

The Danish travel company Apollo announced on its website new charter flights from Copenhagen to Sharm el Sheikh, starting October 12
The flights are operated by an Airbus A320neo from Atlantic Airways of the Faroe Islands

New Ticket Prices Set for Tourist Sites Across Egypt
The ticket price increase will go into effect this June, and will only apply to foreigners visitors.
The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has announced new ticket prices for foreign visitors to tourist sites across Egypt.
In Cairo, tickets to see the Pyramids of Giza have increased from EGP 240 to EGP 360. The Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, the Salah Al-Din Citadel, Saqqara Necropolis, and the Tutankhamun Tomb, meanwhile, have all had their ticket prices raised from EGP 200 to EGP 300.
In Luxor, the ticket price for Valley of Kings has increased from EGP 260 to EGP 400, while Karnak Temple has increased from EGP 220 to EGP 300. In Aswan, the Philae temple’s ticket price was raised from EGP 200 to EGP 300 while the Abu Simbel Temple has increased from EGP 260 to EGP 400.
The ticket price of Alexandria’s Qaitbay Citadel has increased from EGP 60 to EGP 100.
