En furgo no corres detrás del tiempo: lo domas. Te levantas con el sol, desayunas frente a un volcán y aparcas donde tu corazón diga “aquí mismo, mi niño”.

El Roque is not just a beautiful place. It is an experience. And one of the best ways to understand why La Palma is known as the beautiful island.


¿Y si te decimos que en La Palma puedes tocar el cielo?

El Roque de los Muchachos es el punto más alto de la isla, a 2.426 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Y sí, llegar hasta allí en furgo es toda una aventura.

La carretera es estrecha, con curvas de las que te hacen parar a mirar, y con vistas que cada pocos metros te obligan a frenar y respirar hondo.

Pero merece la pena.
Cuando llegas arriba, lo primero que ves es el mar de nubes cubriendo media isla como una manta blanca.

Lo segundo, un paisaje que parece de otro planeta: roca volcánica, riscos afilados y los enormes telescopios del observatorio mirando al infinito.

Si tienes tiempo, quédate hasta el atardecer o la noche. Este lugar es uno de los mejores cielos del mundo para ver estrellas. Aquí la Vía Láctea se ve sin esfuerzo.

El Roque no es solo un sitio bonito. Es una experiencia. Y una de las mejores formas de entender por qué La Palma es conocida como la isla bonita.
