Meet the Team – Jackie Murrell ☀️⛳

Say hello to Jackie, our superstar behind the scenes! She handles Accounts, Contracting & Reservations here at Sunshine Golf – and around the office, she’s lovingly known as the "feeder" thanks to her amazing cooking skills! 👩‍🍳

Jackie’s been in the golf tourism industry since 2012 and joined Sunshine Golf in 2015. Before making Spain her home, she lived in sub-Saharan Africa, bringing a truly international flair to our team.

While she hasn’t been out on the course for a few years, Jackie says “never say never” – and with her encyclopaedic knowledge of golf destinations across Spain and Portugal, she’s the go-to for expert recommendations beyond the Costa del Sol too!

Meet the Team – Mike Roberts
Say hello to Mike, co-owner of Sunshine Golf and the man who’s played more golf courses than most of us have had hot dinners!

A proud UK PGA member since 1982, Mike’s been in the game for over 40 years – working as both assistant pro and head pro at top UK clubs like Finchley and Knebworth. These days, you’ll find him on the Costa del Sol, playing at least twice a week (more if we don’t lock the office door!).

He’s played across Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Scotland, France, Germany, the USA – you name it. His favourite course on the Costa? Sotogrande. All-time favourite? Pinehurst No. 2.

Mike may forget where he left his car keys, but he never forgets a golf hole. Ever. If you need recommendations, course tips, or just want to chat all things golf – he’s your guy.

MEET THE TEAM
Say hello to Gemma Gribbon – Reservations Manager at Sunshine Golf!

Originally from Belfast, Gemma holds a degree in Sports & Business Management from Leeds University (she admits her choice may have had something to do with being a die-hard Leeds United fan!).

Gemma has called Spain home for the last 23 years, and for 17 of those, she’s been a vital part of the Sunshine Golf team. Fluent in Spanish, she brings a wealth of local knowledge and top-notch customer service to help plan your perfect golf holiday.

Four years ago, Gemma caught the golf bug herself and now regularly plays with a local society. She’s already played every course on the Costa del Sol and is branching out across Spain, with rounds under her belt in Almeria, Granada, Costa de la Luz, Cadiz and Seville – and she’s set to tick off the Algarve later this year!

Her favourite local course? Rio Real.
Her proudest golfing moment? A hole-in-one on the 3rd at Mijas Olivos!
