If you’re coming to Lanzarote you can pay in most shops, restaurants & taxis by card.

In restaurants if you wish to add a tip to a bill then tell them the total that you want to pay (or tell them to add 10% or however much) before they start entering info onto the card machine.

You can bring euros with you, or if you want to exchange £ for € then there’s a shop called Minas Choice that do good rates.
They have 1 shop opposite the taxi rank in town and 1 shop in Faro Park.
(They also sell alcohol for cheaper prices than most supermarkets)

What isn’t advisable is using
cash point machines unless you really need to.
This morning one of the Playa Blanca banks charged me €6.95 for the transaction!
The average charge is about €5

"Wonderful Stay at a Beautiful Villa
I had a fantastic experience staying at this villa. The property was beautifully designed and exceptionally well-maintained, offering a perfect blend of comfort and style.
The location was ideal—peaceful and scenic, yet conveniently close to local shops, restaurants, and attractions. It provided the perfect base for both relaxation and exploration.
The amenities were excellent. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed for home cooking, the living spaces were spacious and inviting, and the outdoor area—including the pool and garden—was a real highlight.
Everything was clean, modern, and in great working order.
