Day 4 of Our Trip – and What a Day!

WE LOVE ANGOLA | Kizomba Tourist Trip 2025

The group is fully immersed in the vibrant energy of the land of KIZOMBA! And today, we experienced one of the most anticipated moments of our journey: THE VICTORY CARNIVAL! This is Angola’s biggest sociocultural celebration and, without a doubt, the main reason we chose to visit at this time of year! You simply can’t come to Angola and not witness the magic of the Carnival parade at Luanda Bay! 🎭✨

Our day kicked off in the best way possible—with an unforgettable dance workshop! The charismatic instructor BICAS RISCA led us through an intense and passionate session, helping us refine our KIZOMBA and SEMBA techniques. By his side, the graceful instructor LUCÍLIA (Pequena Borboleta 🦋) mesmerized the dancers with her charm and fluidity, making the experience even more electrifying! It was a class filled with rhythm, joy, and an incredible cultural exchange!

But the real explosion of colors and joy came during the CARNIVAL PARADE! How can we describe something this grand? You don’t explain it—you feel it! 🥳🔥 The magic, the music, the dazzling costumes… an absolutely unforgettable experience! If you missed it this year, mark your calendars—next year’s dates have already been announced!

Luanda has so much more to offer, and each discovery helps us understand the deep nostalgia of Angolans in the diaspora. Everything makes sense here!

Day 3

WE LOVE ANGOLA | Kizomba Tourist Trip 2025

A Memorable Experience on Ilha de Luanda

We spent the day exploring Ilha de Luanda, where we had an incredible time at Wakimono Lodge—enjoying the beach, music, dancing, and an amazing connection with the locals.

We truly lived the experience like real residents! We savored the famous “MUFETE”, a traditional dish of the island, served right by the sea, while soaking in the unique atmosphere of the place.

These were unforgettable moments, filled with sharing and cultural discoveries, immersing ourselves in the habits and traditions of this warm and welcoming people. Angolan hospitality is truly special—it turns simple gatherings into extraordinary moments!

An Unforgettable Journey in Angola

After the beach, our adventure continued towards one of the most iconic gatherings of Angolan culture: “KIZOMBA NA RUA”. This incredible project promotes Kizomba dance and music internationally, bringing together passionate dancers and talented artists in a vibrant and authentic atmosphere.

The place was buzzing with energy, and as expected, big names were in attendance. Among them was the renowned KIZAKA group, led by Mestre Petchu, a true reference in the world of Kizomba and Semba. It was the perfect opportunity to capture this historic moment with a group photo—a sign of mutual respect between two major figures in the promotion of Kizomba and Semba in the diaspora.

On one side, Mestre Petchu, founder of Ballet Tradicional Kilandukilu, and on the other, Mr. Tecas, pioneer of the first Kizomba school in France—the European country with the most Kizomba events—and the mastermind behind the WE LOVE ANGOLA journey, which has been celebrating and sharing Angolan culture with the world for over seven years.

And of course, the night was filled with dance and joy!

But the experience didn’t stop there… What could possibly come next?

We recharged at the city’s most popular fast-food spot: LINOY! A unique place where the food is rich in flavor, and the atmosphere is simply electric.

And guess what? We danced again! Because in Angola, every moment is a celebration of life!

The day ended with that perfect kind of exhaustion—the feeling of having lived something truly special. Can’t wait for the next chapter of this adventure! 🥳

DAY 2

WE LOVE ANGOLA | Kizomba Tourist Trip 2025

✨ A Memorable Day in Luanda ✨

A Saturday like no other, made even better by a long weekend filled with the vibrant spirit of Carnival 🎭.

The morning begins gently, with the sweet melody of birdsong 🐦—a perfect prelude to an amazing day ahead.

Breakfast is a feast of local flavors—pure delight to start the adventure! 👌🏿

Let’s go!

Our driver is on his way… or at least trying to navigate through Luanda’s famous traffic jams. Patience is key—here, we embrace the rhythm of life!

Finally, we arrive! 😁

Time for an afternoon barbecue 🍖 in a warm and inviting setting. Laughter fills the air, conversations flow, and we dive deeper into the beauty of Angolan culture.

Eating, sharing, learning, dancing… until time no longer matters! A day bursting with joy, new experiences, and contagious energy.

The group is almost complete… but we’re missing our Swedish representative, Sofia 🇸🇪—you were missed! But don’t worry, we’ll make up for it soon.

📌 Day One Recap – Unforgettable! 😍

🔹 06:00 AM – Arrival 🛬 of the German delegation 🇩🇪
🔹 03:00 PM – Arrival 🛬 of the Italian 🇮🇹 and Finnish 🇫🇮 crew 😁

We kicked off the day with a short tour of the city center, visiting the Port of Luanda, Shopping Fortaleza, and, of course, the breathtaking Ilha de Luanda! 😍✨

The journey continued with a delicious lunch, relaxation, dancing, and cultural exchange among the participants of the official project “WE LOVE ANGOLA” 🇦🇴 - 2025 Edition.

To top it all off, we wrapped up the night with an amazing get-together at the iconic CASA DA MÚSICA, where the energy was through the roof! 🎶🔥

An unforgettable day, filled with emotions and incredible vibes! 🥹😍
