Please find below the April trail update for Queen Elizabeth Forest Park.
Strathyre
Ben Ledi Car park – Mon 13th Apr – Ben Ledi Car Park will be closed for repairs and resurfacing. The closure is expected to last 2-3 days.
Stank Burn Trail – DIVERTED – There is currently a diversion in place on the higher, non-waymarked, Stank Glen hillpath loop due to a section of forest road being washed out.
Tighanes Burn Trail – OPEN – There are some harvesting operations near the trail. The trail will remain open, but please obey any operational signage.
Leny Woods Car park – OPEN
Ben Ledi Hillpath – OPEN
Beinn an t-Sidhein Hillpath – OPEN
Harvesting in East Strathyre by Kingshouse is complete with haulage ongoing - please obey all operational and diversion signage and advice from onsite operators during this time.
Harvesting at a site north of the Strathyre cabins near the Rob Roy Way is complete with haulage ongoing - please obey all operational and diversion signage and advice from onsite operators during this time.
West Highland Way
Pathworks are under way between Ptarmigan Lodge and Rowchoish Bothy. There will be no access to the ‘low path’ whilst works take place. The ‘high path’ is still available for all users. There is still access to Rowchoish Bothy from the north or from the ‘high path’. Works are expected to last 12 weeks. Please use the ‘high path’ and obey any signage and advice from operators.
Three Lochs Forest Drive
Three Lochs Forest Drive – From Friday 3 April, the Drive will be OPEN to public vehicles for the season.
Loch Drunkie Trail – OPEN – New sensory musical instrument features have been installed on this trail, as well as new resurfacing works

Forth Valley Viewpoint Trail – OPEN
Gravelfoyle Routes – Lomond View Diverted Mon – Fri near Couligarten.
Statute Labour Road – DIVERTED – The active harvesting site near Couligarten has diverted the Statute Labour Road near Kinlochard/Couligarten. Please obey any diversion signage. Access to Kinlochard and 8 Mile Loop is unaffected.
The access road to Milton has been resurfaced – please adhere to the speed limit of 10mph.
Lemahamish
Easterpark Trail – OPEN
Doon Hill – OPEN – This trail has been re-routed and now starts at Lemahamish car park. It still summits Doon Hill, but does not go through Aberfoyle.
Riverside Trail – OPEN

Braeval
Harvesting at Braeval is now complete, with some timber haulage still to take place. The site has been felled due to a Statutory Plant Health Notice for Larch Disease and as such, all Larch had to be removed. The site will be restocked in the near future, please bear with us as we restore the site.

Hoish Timber Stacking Yard – The Hoish Timber Stacking Yard is closed to the public and should not be accessed. This timber stacking yard is extremely dangerous, with heavy machinery present, large amounts of timber, and day and night operations taking place. For your own safety please do not enter the yard. There have been an increasing number of incidents with members of the public accessing the yard, which poses a serious danger to themselves and operators, as well as halting critical operations. Please obey the onsite signage and do not enter this area.
