Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome Alexandra Baych, Agriculture Attaché for the UK and Republic of Ireland, US Embassy London and Julie Vasquez-Nicholson, Agriculture Marketing Specialist for the UK and Republic of Ireland, US Embassy London to our Speyside Cooperage Craigellachie Site.

Hosted by Brian Bartlett, Manging Director (far left) and Malcolm Munro, Cooperage Manager North (far right), the visit provided a fantastic opportunity to share knowledge and explore the world behind the cask — from craftsmanship & sustainability to logistics & the complexities of global supply chains.

Because a cask is so much more than a container. The oak, the craft, the provenance and the people behind it all play a vital role in shaping what ultimately ends up in the glass.

What a fantastic visit today from the University of Kentucky group!

A brilliant bunch of enthusiastic, engaged and genuinely great fun people to welcome.

There was plenty of laughter, great questions and a real interest in the craft and tradition of coopering hosted by our very own Gary Taylor whose experience and knowledge seem to know no boundaries!

We thoroughly enjoyed welcoming them and we're delighted they enjoyed their time with us too.
