It was quite the show last night down the harbour, watching the first Aurora Borealis of the season dancing above the harbour piers. After a season photographing fast paced Puffins zooming through the skies from our boats it was a little tricky to remember some night time settings for photography.
Northumberland can get brilliant aurora displays — but only during strong geomagnetic storms, and best seen with dark clear skies facing north.
