Just booked ✈️ Summer in Indonesia 🇮🇩

Last month was so busy with last minute summer holiday bookings! Indonesia is a perfect South East Asian destination to visit during our UK summer hols and a great choice for families with older children.

My first family will be jetting off in July for combined adventure and relaxation across Bali and Lombok. From laid-back surf beach vibes in Canggu to a burst of adventure in Ubud zip lining through jungle canopies, quad biking through the countryside, and white water rafting on the Ayung River. The trip ends in Lombok for peaceful beach time and snorkelling trips to the nearby Gili Islands.

Another family will venture from a two centre beach stay in Lombok and the Gili Islands to explore the wonders of Komodo National Park and idyllic surrounding islands on a traditional Phinisi liveaboard boat with further days exploring Flores.

May Half Term Getaways! 🇬🇷

There are still pockets of availability for villas during May half term and this time of year is just perfect for a Greek getaway.

Villa Athina sits on the hillside above Agios Nikitas on the west coast of Lefkada. The village has its own pretty beach and enough tavernas to ring the changes for at least a week!

It’s a popular spot in the height of summer, but those lucky enough to be staying nearby will find the village quietens considerably as evening falls, so you can enjoy a relaxed stroll around its cobbled streets and traditional buildings as you choose your dinner spot.

From the pool area you look out over Lefkada’s rugged, forest-clad mountains, whilst the front patio offers equally wonderful views of the sea in all its shades of blue.

There’s plenty of room here to enjoy evening drinks or a barbecue, complemented by the nightly spectacle of a stunning Ionian sunset.

The interior is practical and comfortable, with two good-sized en-suite bedrooms located on the main terrace level, and a bright, airy living-dining area upstairs to take full advantage of the view.

Cappadocia, Turkey 🇹🇷

It was a delight to receive these incredible photos from clients who spent a magical weekend in Cappadocia, Turkey to celebrate a special family birthday. Surreal landscapes of fairy chimneys, ancient cave dwellings, and rock-cut churches. Hot air ballooning over Göreme at sunrise offers breathtaking views of beautiful valleys and unique rock formations.

Chic Shack Barbados! 🇧🇧

Whilst researching a summer Med villa for a client I became distracted by this beauty!

We often imagine Barbados is the domain of luxury hotels, but I can't think of anything more lovely than renting this home by the sea with family or friends. Can you?

Large enough to comfortably accommodate a group of six, but equally attractive and well designed to suit couples holidaying together, this unique beachfront house offers an enchanting ‘chic shack’ style. Rustic white wood ceilings and driftwood touches give the home a barefoot-casual air, while whole-wall doors open out to the furnished terraces.

There is even an inclusive cook service to complete the idyllically idle picture, and on the upper floor, the rather romantic master bedroom has en suite bathroom and a large private deck, with blissful views of the Caribbean coast. There is a gate from the sun deck straight on to the beach!

Lets talk about Albania! 🇦🇱

I booked two client holidays to Albania in the past week - one a lovely 8-day road trip departing next month and the second a summer holiday for an extended family.

My first clients will travel from capital Tirana to experience the Ottoman-era charm of Berat with it's UNESCO-listed stone houses and hilltop castle. Continuing south through the Llogara Pass and Llogara National Park with dramatic mountain scenery, pine forests, and glimpses of the Ionian Sea they will spend two nights in Sarandë, a lively coastal town with turquoise waters, beaches, and access to the ancient ruins of Butrint.

Their trip ends in Vlore, where the Adriatic and Ionian seas meet, for seaside relaxation and a boat trip to explore the the Karaburun peninsula, one of the best-preserved natural environments in all Albania to snorkel the crystal clear waters of the Haxhi Ali cave.

My second clients will base themselves in Vlore for complete relaxation by the sea at a lovely coastal hotel. They'll enjoy exploring the beach bars, restaurants and cafes of this up and coming summer resort and take boat trips to explore the stunning peninsula.
