🛳️ After a little 3-night sailing on Queen Mary 2, I’m back at my desk.
Did I de-frazzle? Sadly, not completely! It takes me about three days before I truly manage to wind down, so just as I was starting to relax… it was time to come home.
I did, however, almost manage to remain technology-free. I checked my emails just once while I was away, despite having my Out of Office on, as I was waiting for an important email—which, of course, never came!
So that’s another thing to add to today’s to-do list… chase it. 🙈
But there was no posting on any platform. Not even Stories!
To be honest, on such a short sailing, most of my time was spent searching out every venue and experiencing as much of the ship as I possibly could, so that I can report back properly. The result? I completely exhausted myself, clocking up well over 10,000 steps a day according to my Apple Watch!
Now, would I go on this ship again?
I wouldn’t be doing my job properly if I wasn’t honest, so… probably not.
And that is absolutely not because there is anything wrong with Queen Mary 2.
I love Cunard, and last year I had the most amazing voyage on Queen Victoria. But they are very different ships, offering very different experiences.
As I always say, there’s a ship for everyone—and this one just happens not to be for me.
And that’s exactly why doing these trips is so important.
So that I can listen to all your requirements, likes, dislikes and preferences, understand the experience you really want from your holiday or cruise, and then help find the option that is most suitable for you.
So now it’s back to the grindstone!
Today will mainly be spent catching up on emails. Tomorrow is a bit of a write-off, as I have a wisdom tooth extraction booked—and I’m really not looking forward to that one! 😬
Then it’ll be back to helping lots of lovely clients plan their:
☀️ October half-term breaks
☀️ Winter sun holidays
⛷️ Ski breaks
✨ Northern Lights adventures
🎅 Amazing Lapland trips for Christmas
🚢 Cruises as far ahead as 2029
🏖️ Summer 2027 school holiday trips
And if you’re thinking about the Summer 2027 school holidays, now really is a great time to start getting things organised for the best availability.
Over the coming weeks, I’ll also be showing you that Europe isn’t the only option when it comes to the six-week summer holidays!
So, if you’ve stumbled across this post and don’t already follow me, but you’re interested in seeing some different holiday ideas and inspiration, do follow along here—or find me on Instagram and Facebook, where I share even more travel ideas.
But for today, it’s time to start ploughing through almost a week’s worth of emails, follow up on enquiries in the pipeline, check in with my clients departing this month to make sure everything is in order, reconfirm arrangements, and prepare those all-important travel documents.
How’s your week starting?
