Still dreaming about your summer holiday?

There’s still time to seize the summer.

Whether it’s a last-minute Mediterranean escape, a luxury cruise, a Greek island stay, or somewhere completely different, there are still some fantastic opportunities out there if you know where to look.

The best availability is moving quickly now, especially for family rooms, premium hotels and the most convenient flight times, but there are still some brilliant options for those not quite ready to give up on a summer escape.

If you’re tempted to get something in the diary, now is a very good time to start looking.

Cruise planning is moving earlier and earlier.

This month alone we’ve already seen Cunard and P&O Cruises releasing parts of their Summer 2028 programmes, and some of the most popular itineraries and cabin categories will genuinely start booking quickly.

There’s also a noticeable shift happening in cruising overall.

People are looking for:
• more immersive itineraries
• smaller luxury ships
• overnight stays in port
• destination focused travel
• unique onboard experiences

I’m also seeing huge interest in Norway, Iceland, longer Mediterranean sailings and the classic Cunard voyages from Southampton.

Having worked onboard ships myself, it’s fascinating seeing how much the cruise industry continues to evolve. There really is now a cruise style for almost everyone, whether that’s relaxed luxury, adults-only, expedition cruising or larger family friendly ships.

There’s something incredibly freeing about a USA road trip. Open roads, huge scenery, great music playing and the flexibility to explore properly at your own pace.

But they do take careful planning. Distances can be far bigger than expected, hotel locations matter more than you think, and choosing the right route can completely change the experience.
