Why the biggest theme parks aren’t always the best…

Duinrell, in comparison to some of its fellow European theme parks, is small. It’s fairly small, almost quite old fashioned, and isn’t suitable for everyone. Here’s why I recommend it to my Kent based clients and fellow theme park fans:

🔷 Queue times are always super short even in the school holidays. I’ve never waited more than 15 minutes for any ride!
🔷 Duinrell is great for all ages and all levels of thrill seekers - I’d say especially for 5 - 14 year olds
🔷 The park owners constantly update the attractions to ensure its many repeat visitors have a great time - we love the revamped Kikkerachtbahn and the new Duinrell Express train 🚂
🔷 If you are staying on site you can go to the theme park as much as you want - all included in the price
🔷 It’s not just a theme park! The outdoor play parks are absolutely brilliant for kids of all ages; and we love the indoor water park (you get this at a discounted rate if staying on site). The outdoor pool area has some good slides too and is open in the height of the summer
🔷 So easy to get to - about 210 miles from Calais, or about 40 minutes from Amsterdam if you prefer to fly or take the Eurostar
🔷 Great beaches nearby at Wassenaar and Scheveningen - the pier at Scheveningen boasts loads of attractions and dining options, and there’s even a Lego Discovery Centre and Sea Life close by!
🔷 Proximity to beautiful Wassenaar’s town centre - the whole area is forested and green throughout the year. I love the cobbled streets and traditional high street shops in particular. Be sure to ask me about my favourite foodie recommendations!

My clients are counting down the days until they set sail on Celebrity Ascent, and what a journey they’ve got ahead of them!
