Today marks 25 years since the 9/11 attacks. Itβs important we remember! On my recent trip to NYC as my children and I stood on the Statue of Liberty π½ pedestal and looked out at the city all I could think about is how different that skyline looks without the twin towers. And I couldnβt stop photographing One World Trade Center and thinking of the reason it stands so tall in the city! A few years ago my husband and I visit the museum and the fountains and it was such a somber experience. To stand there in that place and think of those that stood in that very spot on that horrific day. To the ones lost, to the ones who survived, to those who lost people they loved, to those who made it out but lost so much that day and have never been the same since, to those who struggled days, weeks and months after only to loose their lives after it all when the rest of us thought it was all over, for those that live with the effects of that day every single day, today, I stop. I pause. And I remember!
