​As the wheel turns to the Autumn Equinox, I am deeply looking forward to seeing faces old and new this weekend in sacred landscape of Avebury and sussex.

​This year marks a truly special milestone: 33 years of Gorsedds held within Avebury’s powerful ancient earthworks. Throughout the weekend, you’ll find me gathered near the stones, taking quiet moments at West Kennet Long Barrow, and reflecting beneath the majesty of Silbury Hill.

​On my journey home, I’ll be making a heartfelt pilgrimage to Wayland’s Smithy. That site holds a deeply personal piece of my story. Not only did I spend many happy years exploring the Ridgeway and the Smithy as a child, but it is also the very place where I was handfasted to my wife, surrounded by our dear family and friends.

​It is shaping up to be a profoundly beautiful and meaningful weekend. May your Equinox be filled with peace, balance, and good connection. See you in our beautiful sacred landscape!

Our hearts go out to the ancient landscape at Westbury White Horse and Bratton Camp today as firefighters battle the blaze raging across the hills.
Wiltshire’s chalk hills, ancient monuments, and sacred sites have stood watch over these lands for millennia, connected by the same soil, stone, and spirit. To see the earth burning so close to such a cherished landmark is a heavy sight for all of us who care for these ancient places.

Thank you to the brave crews from Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service and the emergency responders battling challenging conditions and terrain to protect the landscape and local wildlife.

The lands are dangerously dry under this intense heatwave. Whether you are walking the henges at Avebury, visiting Bratton Camp, or exploring the Ridgeway, please exercise extreme caution:

Zero open flames: Strictly no barbecues, campfires, or sky lanterns.
Dispose of rubbish carefully: Glass bottles can act as magnifying glasses in direct sunlight and spark fires instantly.

Ci******es: Please ensure all smoking materials are completely extinguished and never dropped on dry grass.

Please respect the emergency services and avoid the Westbury White Horse area while crews continue their crucial work.
May the rains come soon to cool the chalk, nourish the earth, and restore peace to the hills. Stay safe, everyone.

So June was a busy month for Toby, where he gave 2 small private tours and a larger tour for some wonderful people who traveled over from essex for the day.
We visited the henge an stones, also Silbury Hill, Swallowhead spring & West kennet long barrow.
