The RNLI urge people to remember this single piece of advice which could help save their life if they are struggling in the water.

RNLI research has shown that 85% of people in the UK plan to visit the coast this summer, and worryingly 76% would not think to try and float as their first action if they found themselves struggling in the water.

Please take a moment to read the RNLI advice and ‘Float to Live’:

🛟 Tilt your head back, with your ears submerged
🛟 Relax and try to breathe normally
🛟 Move your hands and feet to help you stay afloat
🛟 It’s fine if your legs sink, we all float differently
🛟 Practise floating in a local pool if you can.

If you see someone else struggling in water:

🛟 Call 999 and ask for the Coastguard
🛟 Tell the person to relax and float on their back
🛟 Throw something buoyant to help them stay afloat.

This is a one way street. I am facing the wrong way. Presumably these roadworks signs are for the cyclists that ride the wrong way along this street 🤣🤣

But seriously, the one way system can be a bit tricky if you’re not used to it.

We regularly get the RAF planes flying over Barmouth. They are certainly making the most of the glorious weather we are having These two were followed by another two.

🎵 🎸 🎶 🎤 BOATHOUSE ROCKS 🎤 🎶 🎸 🎵

Come on join us on Sunday 25th May for a Bank holiday weekend sing along as we welcome back local bands to our Boathouse for the annual boathouse rocks.

This year for the first time there will be on onsite bar and weather permitting the BBQ will make a reappearance .

There will be refreshments, stalls and face painting for old and young alike.
