After an amazing trip to Crete, I’m back home, feeling refreshed and diving straight back into helping families plan their next adventures ✈️☀️

The kids are back at school, the washing machine is working overtime and I’m catching up on enquiries, quotes and messages today.

I’ve got quite a few to come back to, so please bear with me whilst I work through everything over the next couple of days.

I’ve returned with plenty of inspiration, hotel recommendations and a few special discoveries from Crete to share over the coming weeks 🇬🇷

On my way to Crete… but before I switch fully into holiday mode, here are a few travel tips I genuinely swear by 👀

• Avoid paying airport prices for drinks - take refillable water bottles and use the refillable water stations after security. Mini squash bottles are brilliant for kids too
• Prep plane snacks/lunches before you travel to avoid expensive airport food
• Take photos of passports, insurance & luggage tags
• Don’t forget your GHIC/EHIC card - free and easy to order online - AND travel insurance
• Transparent backpacks are brilliant for kids’ plane toys/snacks
• Download films/shows onto the iPad before you leave
• Hand luggage only can save SO much money, especially with easyJet / Jet2 / TUI. Most airlines also allow 2 free infant items, usually a pushchair + car seat
• I often do a Boots airport click & collect too, so I can pick up toiletries/snacks after security 👀
• If you’re close to the airport, a taxi can work out easier than parking. Further away? Meet & greet is often worth it
• Your iPhone calculator has a built-in currency converter 💡
• Always pay in local currency abroad rather than GBP when given the choice
• Use a travel-friendly card abroad to avoid extra fees
• Anti-bac wipes are a travel essential
• Sun cream, inflatables & pool toys are usually way pricier in resort

Good Morning 😊

I’ve been a little quieter on socials lately - life has been LIFE-ing over here lately 🤍

A mix of juggling mum life, football, kids, my husband starting a new job, trying to shift a never-ending cough/cold… and now full holiday packing mode ahead of Crete on Friday ✈️

Work-wise it’s still been busy behind the scenes too:
☀️ checking clients into their Greek holidays
☀️ prepping October quotes
☀️ supplier webinars
☀️ planning site visits in Crete
☀️ testing a new booking/CRM system which should make things much smoother going forward 🙌

Very ready for some sunshine now… and I’ll share some of my own pre-holiday family travel tips later too ✨

And with May half term next week and lots of sunshine apparently on the way ☀️ I hope lots of you have some lovely plans coming up 🤍

Just a 2-hour flight from the UK, with loads of flight options into Palma - making it one of the easiest luxury family getaways out there, especially with little ones 🤍

If you’re looking for a family hotel that genuinely works for everyone, Zafiro Palace Palmanova is hard to beat.

☀️ Stylish spacious suites
☀️ Beautiful swim-up rooms
☀️ Multiple pools, including quieter adults-only areas
☀️ Fantastic food
☀️ A really relaxed luxury feel throughout

…all just a short stroll from the beach.

For our trip, the biggest priority travelling with baby Penny was a swim-up room with a pool warm enough for her to actually enjoy - and it absolutely delivered ✨

The direct pool access made everything so much easier:
🤍 Daytime naps
🤍 Little paddles
🤍 Relaxing in the sunshine
🤍 No constant packing up and trekking to the main pool

And the proof? Penny was so relaxed in the warm water that she actually fell asleep floating in it 🥹

First holiday verdict: approved 🤍

It’s also less than 20 minutes from Palma Airport too - which when you’re travelling with a baby genuinely makes such a difference.

What I love most is that it still feels genuinely luxurious for the adults and grandparents as well.

Everyone gets the holiday they actually want 💫

SPOTLIGHT: Xanadu Resort | Belek | Turkey 🤍🌴

We stayed here last October and it’s one I’d genuinely recommend for families.

It’s one of those hotels that gives you a lot of what you’d expect from some of the 5⭐ resorts in the area… but at a more affordable price point ✨ The reviews really do speak for themselves.

Such a good mix for all ages - our younger ones absolutely loved it, but there was still loads for the teens too (which isn’t always easy to find).

🌊 Beautiful beach
🌿 Lovely grounds and pool areas
💦 Waterslides + the brilliant Fancyland Kids World

One of our highlights was getting out and doing a local tour - white water rafting, mud quad biking and ziplining… such a fun day and beautiful scenery 🤍

If you’re looking at Turkey and not sure where to start, this is a really solid option ✈️
