🐐 Meet the Bagot Goat 🐐
One of Britain’s oldest and rarest goat breeds, the Bagot goat is instantly recognisable by its striking appearance – a white body with distinctive black markings on the head and neck.
With a history stretching back centuries, Bagot goats are a hardy, intelligent, and active breed that have adapted well to grazing a variety of habitats. Their browsing habits can also play an important role in conservation grazing, helping to manage scrub and encourage biodiversity.
Today, Bagot goats remain a rare breed, and dedicated breeders and keepers across the country are working to preserve their unique genetics and heritage for future generations.
