Have you ever heard of the Oberammergau Passion Play?

Nestled in the beautiful Bavarian Alps in southern Germany, the picturesque village of Oberammergau becomes the setting for one of the world's most remarkable theatrical events.

And the story behind it is quite extraordinary! ❤️

In 1633, as the plague swept through Europe, the villagers made a promise that if they were spared, they would perform a play depicting the life, suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The first performance took place in 1634, and almost 400 years later, that remarkable tradition continues.

🎭 The performers are local villagers, and visitors travel from all over the world to witness this incredible spectacle of history, faith, music and theatre.

✨ The next performances take place in 2030, and this really is a once-in-a-decade opportunity!

You might be thinking, "2030? That's ages away!"

Hello Monday and Hello November! 🍂

Seriously, where is this year disappearing to? One minute we're enjoying the summer sunshine, and the next we're thinking about Christmas! 🎄😂

And a punch and a kick for being so quick… NO RETURNS! 😂

Well, hello NOVEMBER! 🍂🍁

Seriously though… how on earth did we get here so quickly?! One minute we were enjoying summer holidays, sipping cocktails by the pool, and now we're digging out the winter coats and wondering whether it's too early to mention CHRISTMAS! 🎄🤣

November is a funny old month, isn't it?

🍂 Some of us are embracing cosy nights, fluffy socks and hot chocolate.
