Thursday 4th June โ€“ Evening Trade Fair!

After all the razzmatazz of the main conference, we were whisked away by bus to the cruise terminal ๐Ÿšโœจ โ€” arriving full of anticipationโ€ฆ and we didnโ€™t have long to wait before the excitement began!

๐ŸŒˆ The room was alive with tour operators, cruise lines, and flight representatives โ€” all dressed in vibrant, fun outfits! Think showgirls ๐Ÿ’ƒ, cabin crew โœˆ๏ธ, and eye-catching stands everywhere you looked. It was a feast for the sensesโ€ฆ but where to go first?!

๐Ÿค Each stand offered the chance to meet a huge variety of companies, chat about everything they offer, and really get a feel for how they can support us and our clients. There were also plenty of competitions, prizes, and giveaways โ€” adding to the buzz!

๐Ÿฉ๐Ÿฆ And thenโ€ฆ the food! We were absolutely spoilt with food trucks serving everything from donuts, pancakes and ice cream, to savoury treats and snacks โ€” all washed down with cocktails ๐Ÿน (pina coladas, strawberry daiquiris) or a lovely glass of bubbly. ๐Ÿฅ‚

๐ŸŽ The operator's merchandise was incredible too, all of them were so, so generous โ€” giving everyone notebooks, pens, keyrings, t-shirts, hats, tote bagsโ€ฆ you name it! Letโ€™s just say my trade fair haul was rather largeโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜„

๐Ÿ’ฌ Most importantly, it was such a brilliant networking opportunity. Chatting in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere made it so much easier to build connections and really understand who to turn to for different enquiries โ€” something that will be so valuable back in the shop.

โœจ All in all, it was the perfect end to what had already been an epic dayโ€ฆ and I still canโ€™t quite believe I was there! A huge thank you to the incredible Tour Operators who took part, but mostly to CLIA for putting on such an incredible event โ€” the effort behind the scenes truly shows.
