🏰 Day 2 of 5: We spend our day in the west in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, first visiting the historic town of Pembroke, dominated by its magnificent Norman Castle. We continue to the tiny city of St. Davids, where we visit the impressive cathedral. Our final stop is at Oriel Y Parc, the National Park Discovery Centre, which hosts numerous exhibitions, a gift shop and café.

We then board the Swanage Railway for a scenic journey through the Dorset countryside with views of Corfe Castle.

🏰 Day 3 of 5: Today we take the road north, past Blyth and Ashington, to Amble, Warkworth and historic Alnwick. We visit the magnificent Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland family dating back to 1309. The castle has featured in Downton Abbey and several Harry Potter films. There is much to see, including the sumptuous State Rooms. The beautifully landscaped Alnwick Garden has many unique features including sculptures, the infamous Poison Garden and one of the largest tree houses in the world.

Some lovely news from JustGiving 💜

Our Moonlight Walk fundraising page was in the top 15% of fundraisers on JustGiving last month!
‎
Back in June, Kristy, Rob, Kathrine and Kirstie took part in the St Wilfrid’s Hospice Moonlight Walk, with the whole Woods team getting behind them and helping with the fundraising.
‎
We originally hoped to raise £500, so to finish with more than £1,000 was fantastic. That was all thanks to the generosity of our customers, colleagues, friends and families who donated and supported us along the way.
‎
Being recognised by JustGiving is a lovely bonus, but what really matters is the money raised for St Wilfrid’s Hospice and the incredible work they do for people and families in our local community.
‎
A huge thank you to everyone who donated, to the whole Woods team for their fundraising efforts, and of course to Kristy, Rob, Kathrine and Kirstie for putting in the miles on the night. 👏
