I think the Maldives is one of those places that many people put in the “maybe one day” category.

Too expensive.
Too far away.
Something for other people.

But every time I help someone book it, they come back saying the same thing:

“It was even better than I imagined.”

Legend of the Seas launches in just 18 days.

Love them or hate them, the new generation of cruise ships are incredible feats of engineering.

Floating neighbourhoods, waterparks, theatres, restaurants and accommodation for thousands of guests—all at sea.

While I still appreciate the charm of smaller ships, it’s hard not to be impressed by what can be achieved today.

I’ll be watching closely to see what the first guests think when she finally sets sail. ⛴️

Thought for today…

Life isn’t always about the big adventures.

Sometimes it’s the cup of tea that stayed hot, the phone call that made you smile, the cat that finally decided you were worthy of it sitting on your lap, or simply getting through a difficult day.

Not every good day has a highlight reel. Some days are quietly successful, and that’s enough.

🐈‍⬛ And if your cat hasn’t tried to murder a crow today, that’s probably a bonus too. 😄

🐎 Royal Ascot has started and, although I’ve never been, I’ve always loved the idea of it.

I’ve always imagined it’s a bit like a wedding on steroids… 👒🥂

Beautiful outfits, stunning surroundings, a glass of champagne and hopefully a winner or two!

Maybe one day I’ll get there

🚤 I wasn’t even on the ship yet, and I was already grinning.

Most people think the holiday starts when you step onboard.

For me, it started bouncing across the water on a tender boat with Majestic Princess getting bigger and bigger in front of me.

There’s something about approaching a ship from the sea that makes you appreciate just how enormous these vessels really are.

As a travel agent, ship visits are about learning, exploring and understanding what I’m recommending to clients.

But I’ll be honest…

For a few minutes I forgot I was there for work and just enjoyed the adventure.

And that first glimpse of Majestic Princess?

Definitely worth the ride. 🚢✨
