The Best Western Crianlarich Hotel stands in the village of the same name on the fringe of the beautiful Breadalbane region of Perthshire. This morning we departand head for the head for the Crianlarich Hotel for a 4 nights stay dinner, bed and breakfast.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗧𝗪𝗢
We join the Scotrail train at Crianlarich station for the ride to Oban. The line takes us through the Pass of Brander and alongside Loch Etive. In Oban, we have time to explore the town, have a look at the harbour, enjoy lunch and relax. In the afternoon we take the train back to Crianlarich.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘
Today we head along Glen Dochart to Killin, where we see the spectacular Falls of Dochart rushing through the village. From here we drive along Loch Earn and Glen Ogle to visit the Glenturret Distillery, makers of the Famous Grouse whisky, for a tour and a wee dram. Later we head North to the picturesque market town of Aberfeldy where we have free time to have a look around. We return via a scenic drive along Loch Tay.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥
This morning we travel North to the Glencoe Visitor Centre, here we learn all about the feuding clans and the infamous massacre. We then head along Ballachulish and Loch Leven to the popular town of Fort William for our lunch break. This afternoon we discover one of the hidden wonders of the Highlands - a power station buried deep under Ben Cruachan, the hollow mountain. Whilst here we enjoy free time at the visitor centre and a delicious cream tea in the café. We return over rugged and awesome Rannoch Moor to Crianlarich.

After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey home.

This morning, we start the day with a visit to Conwy, home of the famous castle with fantastic views out to sea. During our break here you could visit the castle, wander by the quayside or perhaps visit ‘The Smallest House in Great Britain’! After spending some time here, we travel along the coastline to Beaumaris. A delightful village on the shore of the Isle of Anglesey. We have some free time to stretch our legs before we head to the pier to board a 75-minute cruise to Puffin Island. The island is home to an abundance of wildlife including cormorants, shags, razorbills and puffins. The island is also home to a colony of grey seals, and you may spot dolphins or porpoise!

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘
A scenic drive through the pleasant Cheshire countryside brings us to Chester for the day. The historic city offers lots to see and do. Explore the unique ‘Rows’ of two-tiered shops, take a stroll around the City Walls, meander down to the River Dee, and maybe enjoy lunch in a riverside pub, or just relax and watch the world go by.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥
Today’s excursion takes us through some lovely Welsh scenery, including the spectacular Horseshoe Pass, to the Dee Valley where we join the Rheilfford Llangollen Railway. Enjoy a journey on a nostalgic steam train and take a ride on the ‘Stream in the Sky’-the Llangollen Canal-gliding gently over the country’s biggest navigable viaduct.

After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey home.

Departing early morning we take a scenic drive along the beautiful Loch Ness where we will have a short stop for a photo opportunity of the Loch- make sure you look out for the famous Nessie! Our first stop of the day is the Clansman hotel where you will enjoy a morning coffee with a cake/traybake. We will then make our way to Eilean Donan Castle where we have arranged a guided tour. The castle was partially destroyed in 1719 and re-opened in 1932, it is said that the castle is recognised as one of the most iconic images of Scotland. We finish our day with a 2 course meal at the lovely Ledgowan Lodge Hotel before heading home via our drop off routes.

Departing from your designated pick up point we head to Ballater for some free time where you can explore the area at your own leisure. We then head to Balmoral Castle where you can enjoy a tour of the surrounding areas and the castle gardens. Balmoral castle has been the Scottish home of the royal family since it was purchased in 1852 and is still a very popular vacation for the family today. We then head to the Boat Inn, Aboyne for a High Tea before returning home via our drop off points.

Enjoy the scenic drive to Ardrossan and board the ferry to the Isle of Arran. Visit the beautiful Brodick Castle and Gardens with time to explore the grounds and enjoy the island’s coastal charm before returning to Drymen.

The Riverside Lodge Hotel is located on the outskirts of Irvine, near the Ayrshire coast. Overlooking a golf course, the hotel offers comfortable accommodation in pleasant surroundings. All rooms are ensuite with television, telephone, hairdryer and teas and coffee making facilities. This hotel does not have a lift.

We depart in the morning travelling to the Riverside Lodge Hotel, Irvine. Enjoy a 5 nights stay dinner, bed and breakfast. Hotel entertainment will be provided on three evenings during your stay. Tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗧𝗪𝗢
This morning we make the short journey to Ardrossan where we board the morning sailing for the Isle of Arran. The crossing takes around 55 minutes and on arrival in Brodick, the island’s main town, we have time to obtain lunch and have a look around. We have a short sightseeing tour of the island before we catch the return afternoon sailing to Ardrossan.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘
A complete contrast today as we head into Glasgow and visit the superb newly opened Riverside Glasgow Transport Museum. Afterwards we have free time in Glasgow, returning later to the hotel.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥
Our day begins with a drive south along the Ayrshire coast through Troon to Ayr, a popular holiday resort. We have time here for a look around the town and maybe a seafront stroll or obtain lunch. We continue on to spectacular Culzean Castle and Country Park which is based in a stunning clifftop location near Turnberry. The castle offers much of interest, with terraced gardens, woodland, ponds, wildlife garden, walled garden and deer park to explore.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗙𝗜𝗩𝗘
Leaving the hotel we cross the Erskine Bridge and head along the north of the river to Helensburgh for a short break. From here we continue along Gare Loch and Loch Long to Arrochar and on to Tarbet, on the banks of Loch Lomond. We stop at Lomond Shores complex with a chance to obtain lunch and browse the shops before we leave for Balloch. Here we board a cruise on Loch Lomond before we make our way back over the bridge to the hotel for the evening.

After breakfast, we leave and begin our homeward journey.
