Spotted the local Heron just before it elegantly took off from the stream at Moor View Chapel. Keeping an eye on fish stocks no doubt !

Well, I took my eye off the ball (that’s not the ball, it’s the recent Strawberry Moon) I’m now cleaning the chapel for our next guests and they’re not due until next Friday 😩

Mr & Mrs Cuckoo has taken up residence at the disused aerodrome near Davidstowe, a popular fenced dog walking spot just 2.5 miles from Moor view chapel.

Happy New year from us all at Moor View Chapel!
LAST MINUTE DEAL..(
We’ve just seen the weather forecast and take a look at this…next week is mainly dry and for the first time since last Easter our holiday let is empty and that means this could be the perfect time to have a few days by the woodburner with a bottle of wine after a lovely walk on the moors with the dogs, not forgetting watching the amazing Starling murmeration at Roughtor. Could be some great sunsets too and for the Astronomers, those stars will be shining bright 🌟because Bodmin Moor is a designated ‘dark sky area’
What’s there not to like ? 🤷‍♂️ There’s even a bottle of wine waiting for you 🥂

Autumn has arrived on Bodmin moor! Leaves and ferns change to brown and the Hawthorn trees are full of red berries. This area of moor just 1 mile from Moor View Chapel and close to Stannon stone circle is without its usual sheep inhabitants as the Farmers work with Natural England to rewild the moors. So if you have a dog who doesn’t socialise with sheep this is the perfect spot until March ‘24.
We encourage dog owners to keep their dogs on a lead if they’re unsure of their dogs behaviour around other animals.

Who’d have thought it possible to have so much in one place? Bude has it all…Sandy beaches, Canal side walks, shops, pubs/restaurants, Supermarkets, Golf course, Tennis courts, Sea pool, ample parking and friendly people and only 30 minutes drive from Moor View Chapel .
