This is our one treat to ourselves this year. To some it may look like just a garden seat, but it's the fact that it's an all weather seating area that's so important. With the weather so extreme here we needed something that could be left out whatever the weather. It's means that come the end of a long day we can still take time to sit out and enjoy the garden without having to set up furniture.
Still work in progress as we have a fireplace to install ready for those stargazing evenings but we are slowly turning our garden into a place we can spend time in.

Saturday was another day of work continuing to develop a garden for Mum and Dad. We've now got the pergola up which we made from wood from a previous structure. Still lots to do but it's really starting to take shape now.

A bit of a wet Good Friday here so an ideal opportunity to finish off the new pantry. Recycled kitchen cabinets and left over floor tiling. We now have plenty of storage for our preserves, pickles and frozen goodies.

Whilst we continue to wait for news on the cottage repairs being approved, we are taking the opportunity to work on the outside spaces and guest experiences. Here are a few sneak peek images of some of the work in progress. For those of you who have stayed with us before you will remember that this was just a piece of lawn previously.

And that's a wrap! An unusual morning shooting a promotional video for the suppliers of our pellet boiler and stove. Lots of goodies to tuck into. Maybe we should think about a cooking channel as well??

We might not have guests at present, but the Anfodd kitchen has been as busy as ever. This little selection of scones, muffins, bara brith and Chelsea buns were for a recent birthday celebration in the village. At some stage we really must get around to that cookbook!
