A Poet in Every Port is a nationwide tour bringing a specially designed mobile library to 11 coastal towns. On 26 June it will be in Chatham for a day of activity in partnership with Estuary Festival. The days festivities conclude with a celebration of local poetry, alongside A Poet in Every Port’s Ambassador, national treasure, Roger McGough.

Chatham stands as a proud coastal town where river meets sea, its historic dockyards and maritime heritage shaping centuries of stories, trade, and connection along the UK’s shoreline 🌊📖✨
