27 years in travel is an incredible achievement, and what a career you've had!

I want to say a huge thank you for trusting me to take over your business and, most importantly, to look after the wonderful clients you've built relationships with over so many years.

We've known each other for a long time and, having worked so closely together over the past year, I know just how much care, dedication and passion you put into what you do. I also know how much your clients mean to you.

I have some very big shoes to fill, and I feel incredibly lucky that you'll still be alongside me, supporting me behind the scenes as you start this next chapter.

🏆 News overnight, and what a lovely way to start the day!

Travel Counsellors has once again been named Star Homeworking Agency – Large at the Travel Bulletin Star Awards 2026.

Having spent 27 years in travel, I know how much this industry has to offer, and I’m incredibly proud to be part of a company that continues to receive this recognition.

When I made the move to Travel Counsellors nearly seven years ago, I wanted to build a business that felt personal, where I could do things my way and really get to know the people I look after.

Seeing the company recognised again makes me even prouder of that decision.

One of my favourite personal touches is sending handwritten thank you for booking and welcome home postcards to my clients. ✉️ It’s a small gesture, but a lovely way to show how much I appreciate them trusting me with their travels. 💜

Personally, I think an extra hour dreaming of somewhere sunny sounds rather lovely. ☀️

The award was collected by Kirsten Hughes, Group Chief Commercial Officer, and Alex Gavalda, Commercial Director. Congratulations to everyone involved in this fantastic achievement!

As a self-employed business owner, it means so much to be part of a company that not only champions personal service and exceptional travel experiences, but also provides such brilliant support to its Travel Counsellors.

🌅 Where in the world have you watched your favourite sunset? ✈️

Tonight’s photo is a little closer to home… taken on my walk to the pub! 🤣🍻

But it got me thinking about those beautiful sunsets you see when you’re away on holiday. Whether it’s watching the sun disappear into the sea, seeing the sky turn pink from a cruise ship or enjoying the view from your hotel balcony, some sunsets are hard to beat. 💜
