✨ 𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗦 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟱 — 𝗙𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗜 ✨

Yesterday we arrived at Furaveri Resort and Spa and unexpectedly transferred by seaplane rather than speedboat due to the weather 🌧️✈️

A huge thank you to the teams involved for arranging this so smoothly because honestly the communication between the resorts, airport teams and transfer providers throughout this whole trip has been absolutely second to none 👏

When we arrived, I was checked into a stunning Beach Villa with Private Pool complete with direct beach access and honestly it felt like the definition of barefoot luxury 🌴💙

Dinner on our first evening was at Raiyvilla, the resort’s set-menu restaurant, and the food was incredible. We then had another early night thanks to the weather and busy travel days - although visiting during this time of year does mean the occasional tropical rain shower 🌦️

This morning started with breakfast overlooking the pool and beach at the buffet restaurant before heading out to snorkel the house reef 🐠

And WOW.

The snorkelling here was incredible with so many tropical Indian Ocean fish - the parrot fish were definitely my favourites 💙

Lunch was at Aqua, the à la carte seafood restaurant, and honestly this has probably been my favourite meal of the trip so far 🍴✨

After some time enjoying the villa, beach and sunshine, we headed off on an island tour to see everything Furaveri has to offer before I visited the spa for the Island Bliss massage.

This treatment combined Thai and Balinese techniques and was honestly one of the most relaxing spa treatments I’ve ever had 🌺

Last night we also enjoyed a hosted dinner with Manoj, the reservations manager, who answered lots of our questions about the island, guest experience and which clients Furaveri works best for.

And honestly? I think Furaveri is a fantastic option for both couples and families wanting a more natural, relaxed Maldives experience 🌴✨

✨ 𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗦 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟰 - 𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗟𝗗 𝗙𝗔𝗔𝗥𝗨𝗙𝗨𝗦𝗛𝗜 ✨

Today we travelled by speedboat from Emerald Maldives to Emerald Faarufushi across the stunning turquoise waters of Raa Atoll - this was only 40 minutes 🌊🌴

We were welcomed with chilled towels, warm smiles and incredible Maldivian hospitality before being shown to our villa by our host, Fayaz… and WOW 😍

We were lucky enough to be upgraded from a garden villa to a beautiful overwater villa complete with a private pool overlooking endless shades of blues 💙 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝗽𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿 😍

After settling in, we explored the island, visited the spa, kids club and one of the amazing two-bedroom overwater villas - perfect for families.

Emerald Faarufushi feels so peaceful, boutique and intimate compared to some of the larger resorts we’ve visited - the perfect secluded island escape with just 80 villas ✨

We ended the evening with sunset cocktails and canapés with the general manager of the resort, Patrick, followed by an à la carte dinner at Carnivorous - I had the meat and fish platter who’s I shared with followed by the most incredible cannoli dessert.

This morning started with a cycle ride to Aqua all day dining restaurant for breakfast overlooking the lagoon before saying goodbye to this stunning paradise and heading to our next island… Furaveri 🌺

✨ 𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗦 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟯 — 𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗟𝗗 𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗦 ✨

Today we said goodbye to OBLU Helengeli and travelled from North Malé Atoll up to beautiful Raa Atoll 🌴💙

The journey itself was incredible — speedboat back to Malé followed by a seaplane transfer to Emerald Maldives ✈️🌊 Seeing the atolls from above really shows just how stunning the Maldives is.

When we arrived, Emerald very kindly upgraded us from Garden Villas to Deluxe Overwater Villas and WOW… these villas are HUGE 😍

Honestly, check out the bathroom video because I don’t think photos even show how spacious they are.

After settling in, I explored the island by bike before lunch at the Beach Grill where everything was cooked fresh in the open kitchen 🍴✨

We then toured:
🏝️ Deluxe Beach Villa with Private Pool
🛁 Beach Villa with whirlpool bath

I also loved that some villas can be booked as two-bedroom options, making Emerald a great luxury choice for both couples and families.

The spa was absolutely beautiful and tropical 🌺 and dinner at Asiatique was incredible — especially the sushi 🍣✨

This morning started with French toast, coffee from the beach bar and relaxing in the hammock over the ocean outside my villa… moments like this are exactly why people fall in love with the Maldives 💙

Next stop: Emerald Faarufushi 👀🌴

✨ MALDIVES DAY 2 AT OBLU HELENGELI ✨

Today was all about experiencing more of what makes the Maldives so special beyond just the beautiful villas 🌴🌊

We started the morning with a leisurely breakfast overlooking the Indian Ocean, and honestly I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of views like this 🩵

After breakfast, I headed out snorkelling with Mila, the resort’s on-site marine biologist, which was such an incredible experience. One of the things I love most about resorts like this is that they’re not just luxurious - they also help guests properly experience the marine life and understand the reefs around the island.

And the snorkelling here? Unreal 🐠

Afterwards we had some downtime, relaxed by the pool with drinks, and then headed for lunch at the island’s buffet restaurant before starting our resort room tours.

Today we visited:
🏝️ Beach Villas
👨‍👩‍👧 Family Beach Villas
🌊 Overwater Villas
✨ Lagoon Villas

And honestly, it really reinforced how important choosing the right villa type is in the Maldives because they all give such a different experience.

The Beach Villas feel super private and relaxed with direct beach access, whereas the Overwater and Lagoon Villas give you that iconic “Maldives dream” feeling waking up directly over those crystal-clear waters 💙

We also toured the spa… and WOW. Absolutely stunning. One of those places where you instantly feel relaxed the second you walk in 🌺

This evening we headed out on the complimentary sunset cruise which was such a lovely experience watching the sky change colours over the Indian Ocean - and we even saw dolphins swimming alongside the boat which honestly made the whole experience feel even more magical 🐬✨

We then returned back to the resort for dinner and an early night.

I know people often think “the Maldives is just the Maldives” but every island genuinely has its own personality, atmosphere and style - and experiencing them first-hand is exactly what helps me match the right clients to the right resort ✨

✨ HELLO FROM OBLU HELENGELI ✨

After a completely smooth journey (which honestly feels rare these days 😅), I landed in paradise yesterday for my Maldives resort tour 🌴☀️

From the moment I arrived into Malé, everything was seamlessly handled by the amazing team at Hummingbird Travel and the OBLU Helengeli reps - exactly the kind of service I always want for my own clients.

🚤 We transferred to the speedboat terminal, waited around 45 minutes, then set off on a beautiful 50-minute journey across those unreal turquoise waters to OBLU Helengeli.

And wow… what an arrival.

I had a few hours to myself before the rest of the Travel Den team arrived, so naturally I did what anyone would do after long-haul travel…

😴 Had a FOUR HOUR nap.

No regrets 😂

Once I resurfaced, I explored the beach outside my villa, headed over to the adults-only pool, and spent some time relaxing in a hammock with an iced latte just listening to the waves.

Honestly? Exactly the reset I didn’t realise I needed.

Last night we met with our wonderful host Shiham and enjoyed dinner at Just Grill before ending the evening at the bar and heading to bed after a very long (but amazing) travel day.

Already learning so much about this resort that will help me match the right clients to the right Maldives island - because every resort here is SO different.

And this is only Day 1… 🌺

🌴✈️ 𝗢𝗙𝗙 𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗦 ✈️🌴

Not a bad way to spend the next couple of weeks… 👀✨

🐅✨ 𝗧𝗜𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗗 – 𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗕𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗔𝗥𝗜 ✨🇮🇳

This morning’s safari started VERY early… 5.30am early 🫠😂

But within minutes of entering Zone 3 in Ranthambore National Park we had one of those moments that makes every early wake up worth it…

A tiger casually walking near the entrance road 🐅✨

No rushing.
No dramatic chase.
Just calmly meandering through the park while every jeep around us sat in complete silence watching.

Honestly it felt magical.

There’s something surreal about seeing a tiger in the wild. Not in a zoo. Not behind glass. Just existing naturally in its own environment.

We also spotted:
🐦 Lots of beautiful birdlife
🐤 A partridge with her tiny chick
🦌 Deer hidden throughout the park
🐅 A second tiger hidden deep in the long grass

Definitely one of those travel experiences I’ll never ever forget

🇮🇳✨ 𝗔𝗚𝗥𝗔 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗧, 𝗖𝗢𝗪𝗦 & 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗕𝗢𝗥𝗘 ✨🐅

After sunrise at the Taj Mahal and a VERY needed breakfast back at the hotel, we headed out to explore Agra Fort.

The architecture here was incredible - huge red sandstone walls, intricate details and hidden viewpoints looking back across towards the Taj Mahal itself 🤍

Then it was time to leave the cities behind and begin the next part of the adventure… Ranthambore 🐅

One of my favourite unexpected stops of the whole trip was at a cow shelter where we got to feed the cows 🥹🤍

And then obviously I became best friends with one of the dogs there too 😂🐶

Her name was Fifi and yes… she got fed biscuits.

By the time we arrived at Ranthambore Regency the atmosphere had completely changed from the cities. It instantly felt calmer, greener and more relaxed — with the excitement building for our first safari 👀🐅

🇮🇳✨ 𝗧𝗔𝗝 𝗠𝗔𝗛𝗔𝗟 𝗔𝗧 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗘 ✨🇮🇳

Today started at 5am… and honestly? It was worth every second 😍

We headed straight to the Taj Mahal at sunrise and I genuinely don’t think photos can prepare you for seeing it in real life for the first time.

Because it’s summer there were barely any queues, which meant we could properly take it all in before the crowds arrived ✨

A few things that surprised me:
❌ No snacks, matches, pens etc allowed inside
👟 You wear shoe covers over your shoes to help protect the marble
📸 Local photographers are EVERYWHERE — and honestly? Worth it ✅

Yes… I also did the iconic Princess Diana bench photo 👀😂

One thing I’ll say if you’re ever visiting…
✨ WEAR SOMETHING BRIGHT ✨

The white marble of the Taj makes colourful outfits stand out beautifully in photos.

There’s something surreal about standing there as the sun rises and the marble slowly changes colour in the light.

One of those moments where you stop and think:
“Wow… I’m actually here.”

🇮🇳✨ 𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗔 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟮 – 𝗢𝗟𝗗 𝗗𝗘𝗟𝗛𝗜, 𝗧𝗨𝗞 𝗧𝗨𝗞𝗦 & 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗔𝗚𝗥𝗔 ✨🇮🇳

After arriving into Delhi, we checked into the beautiful The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel Delhi for our first night in India 🇮🇳

A little downtime was definitely needed after the journey - and after some sleep, Day 2’s itinerary was honestly one of those “this is exactly why I travel” kind of days ✨

The morning started with the most important thing first… coffee ☕😂 before heading out to explore Old Delhi.

Our first stop was the incredible Jama Masjid - one of the largest mosques in India. The atmosphere there was amazing and it was such a contrast to the busy streets waiting outside.

Then came one of my favourite experiences so far… a bicycle tuk tuk ride through the chaotic little lanes of Old Delhi 🚲✨

The sounds, colours, smells, people, market stalls… it’s impossible to explain properly unless you experience it yourself. It feels busy in the best possible way - like total organised chaos 😂🇮🇳

Next we visited Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, a Sikh temple that completely blew me away.

The kindness, calmness and sense of community there was incredible. We also visited the huge community kitchen where volunteers prepare and serve around 50,000 free meals every single day 🤍

(Although… slight downside… I managed to slip and think I may have broken my toe in the process 🫠😂)

We then swapped bicycle tuk tuks for a traditional motorised tuk tuk ride around India Gate, before stopping at the peaceful Lodhi Gardens for a completely different side of Delhi.

By late afternoon it was time to board the train to Agra 🚆

Tonight’s hotel is the stunning ITC Mughal - and after checking in we headed up to Molecule Air Bar for rooftop drinks before an early night…

Because tomorrow morning = sunrise at the Taj Mahal 😍✨

And honestly? I already know that’s going to be a moment I’ll never forget
