African squirrels vary from tree-dwelling species, like the striped bush squirrel, to ground-dwelling ones, such as the African giant squirrel. They feed on seeds, nuts, fruits, and sometimes insects, playing an important role in dispersing seeds and maintaining healthy ecosystems. Highly alert and quick, they use their agility to escape predators and communicate through chirps and tail signals.

Namibia did us proud last month, it was full of firsts for me; flowers in the desert, grass on Etosha pan and 5 sightings of brown hyena! Incredible. There is always something different to experience on safari, even for those of us that visit on a regular basis.
