Palo, Disney Magic 🍽️✨

A rare treat — dinner just the two of us, and we made it our belated anniversary celebration.

The setting alone is worth it: big windows with sea views watching the sun set, a warm welcome, and a dedicated server for the evening. Ours, Rita, was brilliant — full of menu tips and port recommendations, attentive without ever being in the way.

And the food? Wonderful. We started with burrata and calamari and prawns, then I had the lobster pasta — generous lobster tail, incredible sauce — while my husband devoured the steak. We couldn’t resist adding an extra main to share too: scallops on the most delicious risotto.

(Confession: we were having such a good time we forgot to photograph pudding — my chocolate soufflé with a Frangelico on the side was incredible.)

If you’re sailing Disney and can get a night away from the kids, Palo is worth every penny 🥂

Alaska, you gave us everything. 🐋🦅

Anyone who knows me knows wildlife was the whole reason this trip was on my bucket list — and it did not disappoint.

Humpback Whales. Eagles. Seals. Otters. Sea lions. Salmon runs. Orcas. Bears. All in one trip. 😍

I am no wildlife photographer (these are all iPhone-and-luck, not skill!) but some moments you just have to try and capture, because they take your breath away and you want to hold onto them forever.

If Alaska wildlife is on your list too — it’s every bit as magic as they say. 🏔️

Absolutely magical week in Alaska filled with princesses, Mickey and Minnie, breathtaking views and incredible wildlife 😍

This might be one of the best value resorts in the Maldives 🤍

The house reef alone had us lost in an amazing underwater world every single day. But it’s the little things that got us — staff reading the kids stories at dinner or showing them how to make napkin animals so we could actually eat, that kind of effortless, genuine warmth you can’t fake.

Add in gorgeous rooms and a spa I didn’t want to leave, and honestly, I’m still thinking about this one.

Stick around till the end for the name 👀🏝️

I like to think I’ve got packing down to a science. We’re seasoned hot-holiday packers — shorts, tees, something smarter for nice meals out, done in an hour. 😎

Alaska said not today.

Despite a list (an actual list!), I’ve packed, unpacked, and repacked more times than I can count. Something goes in, something else comes out, repeat. First time ever using vacuum bags just to claw back some space — turns out thermals and coats take up a lot more room than sundresses.

Because this trip needs TWO different packing brains:
🌊 Vancouver + warm days: 25°C, swimming gear, shorts and T-shirts
🏔️ Glacier day: thermals, coats, hats, gloves — that wind chill is real
🌦️ Ports: milder, but rain rolls in fast, so light coats and layers earn their space too

And then there’s the princess dress situation. One per night, matched to shows and restaurants where possible. This is a special trip — I’m not apologising for it. 👑

If you’re packing for Alaska too, tell me I’m not alone in the repacking spiral. 😅

This is the kind of view that makes you understand why people become obsessed with cruising. 😍

One of my clients sent me this from their Norwegian Fjords cruise and I honestly haven’t stopped watching it. Just look at that light.

Here’s the best bit though — this was their very first cruise. They weren’t sure it would be “their thing.” Fast forward a few weeks and they’re already back asking me to find their next one. 🙌

That’s the thing about cruising nobody tells you until you try it — it has a habit of completely converting people.

Been to Kos and not tried Grecotel LUXME? Here’s why it’s on my list of favourites… 👇 The wine is actually good. The food is delicious. And it’s family-friendly without losing that grown-up feel — so parents actually get to feel like they’re on holiday too, not just chaperoning one. Anyone else been?
