The Rings provides fully accessible self-catering holiday accommodation, accessible Edu-Shed/Playbarn, wilderness camping and Countryside Experiences and learning. We are truly inclusive - we welcome those without disabilities too!
· The Cottage is best for physical disabilities, it accommodates up to 16 people but also subdivides into smaller self-contained units. There are two further principle
lounge kitchen dining areas separated by a moveable wall which can be opened to enable all 16 guests to eat and socialise together, (please see our pictures for a visual representation of the flexibility of booking options) Two of the four kitchens are wheelchair accessible. Two of our apartments are to Category 1 standard, enabling a wheelchair user(s) to holiday independently. Three of the bedrooms have ceiling tracking hoist and those wet rooms also have a bath, one which has a power seat and jacuzzi style therapy.
· Our 6 bespoke built Cabins are designed to be inclusive of those with neurodiversity / behavioural conditions – they are robust and more secure with lockable kitchens. Two of the 6 are wheelchair accessible with open plan kitchens. Our link rooms offer a place for groups holidaying together to meet in the evening while the kids sleep!
· Wilderness Camping with comforts - toilets, showers, laundry and charging facilities located in Bissets Barn a short walk from the camping field which also has a small children's play frame. Our camping is spacious and quiet with a focus on the family.
· Bisset's Barn is a huge multi-purpose space which also has two sensory rooms (one for noise, one for quiet), a hot-tub with hoist, a full body changing place, and a large fun space for playing or events. Ring Farm Experiences is now offering Countryside learning for families, schools and home educators too! Come along for seasonal events such as lambing, shearing or sheep dog demonstrations. Meet our Shepherds and get a peek "behind the scenes" in our sheds! Our Vision:
Through various personal experiences it became apparent that there was a need for accommodation to provide for those with particular accessibility needs. In Scotland those with high levels of disability find it almost impossible to find overnight accommodation. This affects the whole family's choices for holidays. We aim to improve this
situation. We have realised that disability affects all ages. This has an impact on the rest of the family. It can be the result of illness, inherited disease or accident. The Rings are bespoke designed unique holiday accommodation with flexibility to its core. Hand crafted using modern standards by a team with a passion for what they are doing.
