As we prepare Nookie Cottage for the festive season , Dartmouth is buzzing with the Christmas spirit 🎅 Christmas lights were switched on amongst much fun in Royal Avenue Gardens . The mulled wine flowed , Santa arrived ( by boat , of course ! )and the highlight was the resurgence of the lantern parade ! Excellent 👏

Our second new experience was taking the ferry across from Salcombe to the beaches of Portlemouth . An adventure in its own right but from here we took the coastal path to Gara Rock . Stunning views and the added attraction of a cool drink on the terrace in the beautiful setting of the Gara Rock hotel on arrival . We took the much easier, ….. inland , downhill route back to Portlemouth !
