A little glimpse into last weekend’s retreat at Erw Glas, Llanrwst ✨

We eased into the weekend with Friday evening yoga followed by pizza, good company and plenty of laughter.

Saturday brought less wind than forecast yeyyy, but some uninvited midgie guests boo. Still guests enjoyed paddleboarding on the lake, a fun bushcraft session by the water, a beautiful mandala art workshop, and an evening BBQ with the bar open and conversations flowing long into the night.

We finished on Sunday morning with a gentle yoga session before heading home feeling refreshed, connected and full of happy memories.

These weekends are about so much more than the activities – they’re about taking time out, trying something new, meeting wonderful people and enjoying simple moments in beautiful places. 💚

A little glimpse into life in the Highlands long before modern comforts 🍃

This traditional turf house in Glencoe, built for National Trust Scotland, feels like stepping back in time. Surrounded by towering mountains and wild beauty, it’s a reminder of just how connected people once were to the land around them.

Scotland really does have a way of making you slow down and look closer 🏴✨

What a way to end an incredible week. 🎉🥾

Today these amazing ladies reached Fort William with Rayofsun_adventures, completing all 96 miles of the West Highland Way. From the first steps in Milngavie to that iconic finish marker in Fort William, they’ve walked through some of Scotland’s most breathtaking landscapes, tackled every climb, embraced every challenge, and kept putting one foot in front of the other.

Although my son and I couldn’t stay to see them cross the finish line in person (he was very keen to get home to see his dad, and I couldn’t argue with that ❤️), I felt such a surge of joy when the messages came through: “We made it!”

After spending the week supporting the group, ferrying heavy bags to each next stop, and exploring this spectacular corner of Scotland with my boy, it felt like a victory for all of us. But the real achievement belongs to these incredible women.

A special mention must also go to one member of the group whose adventure was cut short by a very painful blister. Having to stop on day two was heartbreaking, especially after all the preparation and excitement leading up to the trip. While she didn’t make it all the way to Fort William on foot, she was very much part of this journey, and we hope she’ll get the chance to return and conquer the rest of the Way in the future. 💚

I can only imagine how elated everyone felt standing at that finish marker before celebrating together over a well-earned evening meal. The sore feet, the laughs, the blisters, the breathtaking views, the friendships forged along the way — all leading to that moment.

Congratulations to every one of you. Whether you completed all 96 miles or had to stop sooner than planned, you’ve shown courage, determination and resilience, and it’s been a privilege to be part of your adventure. 💚🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Final day feels 🥹🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Today these wonderful ladies walk from Kinlochleven to Fort William, completing their incredible 96-mile journey along the West Highland Way.

What a privilege it’s been to support them as they’ve crossed glens, climbed hills, battled blisters, and soaked up some of the most breathtaking scenery Scotland has to offer.

Today they’ll take those final steps into Fort William tired, proud, emotional, and absolutely unstoppable ✨

The finish line is in sight ladies - you’ve done something truly amazing 💛

It’s an absolute joy to be in this amazing place, supporting and our wonderful group as they journey along the West Highland Way 🥾✨

They stayed in Bridge of Orchy last night and are already on the next leg of their adventure. Today they’ll walk beneath the glorious Three Sisters of Glencoe — one of the most breathtaking landscapes in Scotland.

There’s something incredibly special about being immersed in scenery like this: the vast mountains, ever-changing skies, and that feeling of complete freedom that only the Highlands seem to bring 🏔️💚

✨ We are absolutely over the moon ✨

Our new Walking & Yoga Holiday in beautiful Dunster, on the edge of Exmoor, has only been on sale for just over a week… and 7 places have already gone! 🥾🌿🧘‍♀️

This special collaboration with Secret Hills Walking Holidays is already attracting such a lovely group of people and we couldn’t be more excited.

Think stunning Exmoor walks, cosy evenings, daily yoga, fresh sea air, great company, and time to properly switch off and recharge 💚

There’s still room for more to join us — but spaces are limited, so if you’ve been thinking about it, this is your sign ✨

A full day to exhale ✨🌿

Today’s Scent & Sound Sensory Retreat with the wonderful Nicky Yoga was exactly what my nervous system needed.

Gentle yoga that was easy to follow, deeply relaxing breathwork, the most delicious brunch, and a fascinating aromatherapy session where we learned how scent can tell us so much about what our body and mind need. Creating our own personalised oil blends was such a lovely experience 🌸

The whole day felt calm, grounding, nurturing and honestly… just a real treat from start to finish.

If you’re craving some time to slow down and reconnect with yourself, Nicky’s next retreat is on 5th July and I can’t recommend it enough ✨

Happy Friday beautiful people 🤗

Do you have something special planned for the weekend?

I will be packing and prepping for a trip to Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This time next week and I will be greeting a wonderful bunch of adventurers in Milngavie - ready for them to begin their 7 day trek up to Fort William, ending with an ascent of Ben Nevis 🏔️

I will be there to support the group should they need me - whilst having lots of adventures with my son ❤️ not a bad way to spend half term 😆

His topic this term in school has been the Stone Age, and his teacher has made it so engaging that he’s been completely fascinated by it all. I’m hoping we can keep that curiosity going by finding some amazing places to explore along the way… caves, standing stones, ancient landscapes and maybe even a few dinosaur footprints if we’re lucky 👣✨

If you know of any amazing places to visit in Scotland that an 8 year old obsessed with the Stone Age would love, send your suggestions my way 🙌
